Subway is a subway except this one had very nice employees. Love the 9 grain honey oat bread with egg white, spinach & yellow peppers. Always yummy. Glad there are subways around cause there breakfast menu can't be beat and isn't loaded with empty calories.

I was passing through to visit some friends and they suggested we eat here. The building doesn't look like much but the bartender was great, there were wonderful views of the river and the barbecue pork ribs were fantastic. I agree with someone else who says this place is a bit divey but well worth the food and scenery.

To be simple and direct. Had the fish nuggets "fish and chips". Nasty. The fish was extremely Bland and flavorless and the breading unbelievably hard and crunchy; mostly cornmeal breading and little fish. Ordered a side of brown gravy to try with my fries. The gravy had either gone bad or somebody thinks it tastes good so sour. Service was very poor. Don't bother getting off the freeway to visit this place. My husband's Burger was very hard and just basically okay. The hyperbole on their menu describing their food is way way off course from what you actually get.

This was a good Arby's. The food was hot and delicious - made like we expected. The new cookies they have are wonderful. I had a salted caramel chocolate chip cookie - served warm! Writing this makes me want another one!

I ate here one morning for breakfast and it was so delicious. I had a short stack and my friend had the tremendous 12 and the food was done perfectly and quickly served. The customer service was excellent- waitress Carley was very attentive and friendly. The manager even visited our table and thanked us for coming. The atmosphere of the place was welcoming. It was my first visit to cloquet, I was headed to Duluth and I will def. eat here again when I am in the area! I recommend eating here!

The Buffet at the Bear

I was passing by on the freeway on a Friday night and decided to stop for the dinner buffet. The billboards that I had seen advertised it as the best buffet in the state. There was a 30-40 minute wait, which didn’t surprise me considering that it was Friday night and it just happened to be the seafood buffet. The buffet cost $19 which was surprising for a seafood buffet. At the other casinos I’ve paid $30-$40 for seafood night!I was surprised by the variety that they offered, many different varieties of shrimp, oysters, fish, crawfish, and crab legs. I really like shrimp, and they were delicious! Then I switched to the crab legs and definitely got my money worth! The waitstaff was really on top of things also, removing my empty plates and refilling my drink. (Shoutout to Alycia, she was great!)The billboards were correct! This was a great, and affordable buffet! I will definitely stop again next time I’m in the area!

NE BBQ & Smokehouse

Stopped in for a quick dinner on a Tues. Was a quiet night in the restaurant. We order 2 appetizers: Pig Poppers and Brisket Bites. We also tried a couple of the tap beers: Earth Rider Helles; and another I didn't remember the actual name, but taste like a Moscow mule. The brisket was tender and served on a sliced baguette style bread. A try of a selection of sauces were brought to the table. Several were spicy and I like the Memphis style best, slightly sweet and smokey. Poppers were good but a little spicier than I like. They were cream cheese filled and bacon wrapped. Could have been cooked longer so that both layers of bacon were cooked crisp. The blueberry sauce was good on them.

The service was completely uninspired, it was as if it was inconvenient to serve us. The place wasn't crowded either. I got a salad, which was your standard generic lettuce, tomato, cuc and not much else. I got a bowl of tomato soup, which I really disliked. First it was lukewarm and second it tasted like spaghetti o's blended up into a smooth soup. So I didn't complain about the temperature of the soup, since I didn't eat it. In all fairness, my son, liked it and finished it. My husband got a cheese burger, and thought it was good. My son got The Jake's Manwich which is: 1/2 pound burger topped with a fried egg, bacon, and cheese. He really liked it. The restaurant seems like is has a lot of loyal clientele, everyone seemed to know each other.

Stopped here yesterday with 5 friends on the way to Canada fishing trip. Had heard good stories about the great burgers and fries and atmosphere. Let me say this restaurant also has a huge parking area, if you are towing boats or trailers as we were, the is a large area to park them. Band new rest room building also. Do not worry about seeing a full parking lot of cars etc. The order process and and getting your food out is amazing. We ordered all 5 meals at once, you get in line , goes very fast. Find a table and within 5 minutes they called our number. The order was perfect no mistakes, you pay when you pick up your food. Burgers and fries were Very good! This is a restaurant designed after an old time diner back in the 50’s and 60’s. Great music playing also, fun place to visit and good food, an not go wrong !
