The Dutch Mill is a small family-owned restaurant. They serve breakfast all day and there are many additional entrees available on the specials menu. The food is always very good and the service is often entertaining. The Dutch Mill is a great choice if members of your party are looking for both breakfast and lunch entrees.

This was my third visit and, like the previous two, found it a pleasant, enjoyable dining experience. The staff, bartender and wait staff, were attractive, professional and delightful. I liked sitting in the Pub Room and the service was quick and efficient. Appetizers arrived quickly and were excellent! Entrees were generous and very well prepared. A âgemâ in this small, scenic community on Lake Champlain.

Waterfront restaurant on Lake Champlain serving bistro cuisine inspired by French and local flavors. Casual atmosphere with outside seating on Lake Champlain. Serving lunch and dinner. The food is well prepared by two seasoned chefs who love tasty food an
We spend some time near Essex every summer, and every summer, we've called this place to ask about the possibility of enjoying a vegan meal in their establishment. Every summer, the response is unwelcoming. Apparently, Lin and Ray think that "French" means nothing but climate-changing dead animals; they should take a trip to Paris to see what "French" means in terms of creative, sustainable and delicious food. We won't try again.

Beautiful old building and exceptional gardens and grounds right on Lake Champlain. Gorgeous spot for breakfast or dinner. Tables available out on the patio or in the small dining room inside. We found our egg dishes at breakfast to be good, but not excellent. Pricey.Dear Soulefulltraveler,Thank you so much for your feedback regarding your recent dining experience at Shelburne Farms. Went here for dinner on my birthday because I had said I wanted to go to a place I had not been before. The strip steak and everything with it was absolutely delicious. We were seated behind the fireplace at one end, which gave a greater feeling of privacy (but anywhere would have been good). The service was friendly but not at all intrusive and the atmosphere comfortable. I really cannot recall a more pleasant dining experience in Vermont.

We had no idea this was such a great little restaurant. Judging by the outside you wouldn't know. It is very much where the locals go. Everything was top notch, very good and efficient service. My son loved the fried mushrooms, best he ever had and he is the fried mushroom expert!

This is a gem. Off route 7 south of Burlington, this unassuming place sits. When you enter behind in a screened octagonal outdoor room with fireplace for chilly evenings. There is a pond and garden -lovely. The menu has many choices and all look amazing. I had the pork loin with Isreali cous cous and dried cherries - delicate and perfectly cooked. My niece had the gazpacho with scallops and almonds - amazing, perfectly diced for texture but delicate. She had the ravioli which was also superb. The wine list is extensive and well designed.
