Firstly, I want to start by saying that my overall experience at hotel Condesa was brilliant and I thoroughly enjoyed my time. The staff are brilliant, attentive and friendly. It’s lovely that they talk to you and make an effort to get to know you during your stay. However, despite this, we had a few mishaps that were very disappointing. I stayed at Condesa with my sister in June 2022. One tip I have is if you are on a budget, don’t get a taxi from the airport. It cost us €90 to get to Condesa which was extortionate. There are buses from the airport that go very close to the hotel. On arrival at Condesa we were greeted by a lovely team of reception staff who told us all the information we needed and made us feel very welcome. Now, unfortunately, it started to go slightly downhill from here… Room: We arrived at the room to find a very very basic hotel room. For us, it wasn’t a big problem as we weren’t planning on spending much time in the room but it wouldn’t have still been nice to have more facilities. There was no coffee/tea making facilities, there is a TV which is good, we also had a balcony but the walls are a horrible texture like something you would find on the outside of a building (this is a very small thing but it really makes a difference to the appearance). The shower looks fancy, but it’s really basic again. The bathroom has good storage and provides a hairdryer which is great if it works. But unfortunately it’s one of those that is fitted into the wall and Every time we turned it on, about 2 minutes later, it overheated and wouldn’t work for ages. So we had to walk around with wet hair most of the time. The air con in the rooms is not good. In a hot country like this you would expect decent air con when it is advertised on the room booking, but ours did not work and when we told the lady at reception admitted some air con didn’t work and she just told us to ‘open the window’. This advice wasn’t great considering outside was 30+ degrees. One of the main things that has to be mentioned is a sewage problem we had during our stay. When we first entered our room we got a whiff of the most disgusting sewage smell. We didn’t think much of it as we thought it was just a one off. But throughout our stay we noticed it more and more and eventually traced it to the shower plug. This smell was honestly so disgusting that both me and my sister were gagging and couldn’t use the bathroom. When I mentioned this to reception they said they would send a maintenance man up to the room but I had to be there to let him in. So I went up and waited. I was told he would be 10 minutes. 30 minutes later I got fed up and went back down to ask when he’d come. I was told to wait longer, but I explained that I’m on my holiday and I want to be enjoying myself, not upstairs in a hot room waiting for a maintenance man. She just looked at me blankly so I asked for the manager. I was then told by another lady at reception that the manager was ‘doing big important things’ as if to imply that my concern was not important. So, I voiced my concerns about the smell to the other member of staff who straight away raised her eyebrows, laughed and proceeded to say ‘you are on an island. Of course it smells’ (not to mentioned she was also sorting out things whilst speaking to me which I thought was rather unprofessional and made me feel like I wasn’t being listened to). Anyway she justified my concerns by saying that because we were on an island all the rooms smelt like that. I can’t quite believe that out of the hundreds of people staying here everyone is happy to have that awful smell in their room but at this point I just could not be bothered to argue. I was very disappointed not to be given some kind of sympathy and understanding or offered a resolution. One other thing is that the wifi didn’t work and other guests had the same issue. This isn’t great seeing as my sister and I both had to submit university assessments during the stay which meant using our 4G. Food: The food was overall very good and my sister and I enjoyed the excellent range of foods with different themes every night. There was a good vegan section too so dietary requirements were nicely covered. The timings were really good too as you had a good range of time that you could eat between. Dining space is lovely outside, not our favourite inside but it is bearable! The disappointing part of the food is that I bit into a chicken kebab one day that was completely raw inside. Not just a bit pink, this piece of chicken was cooked lightly on the outside and the inside was pure uncooked chicken. It worries me that these were being handed out to kids… my sister also got a burger one day which was undercooked (photo attached). Overall though food was good and I can understand that sometimes these things do happen, but that chicken was clearly taken off way too early and should never had been served. Location: The location is so nice. The town is not far to walk and the bus service is really good. The 324 to Alcudia stops at all the little towns on the way and it’s really frequent and cost about €3. If you plan of taking taxis anywhere, be aware that every morning there seemed to be a 1 hour wait for them. This was crazy so wasn’t worth waiting for. If you turn left out of the street where the hotel is and keep walking there is actually a taxi rank with frequent taxis waiting. The beach front location of the hotel is breathtaking and I have to say it is excellent. SkyBar: I would definitely recommend saving €7 to go and treat yourself to a sunset drink on the skybar. It is honestly so gorgeous and the drinks are good prices for what you get. Not all inclusive but this is very much understandable. Love music and good dj sets. Really liked this. Entertainment: We really enjoyed the entertainment it was so fun and the vibe was great. All kid friendly and they do a kids disco every night which was so sweet to watch. The entertainment staff are great I can’t fault them and shoutout to the bar staff who are hilarious and always made us laugh. Overall I enjoyed my stay at Condesa minus the mishaps. I was rather disappointed not to be given some resolution to my complaints but I guess that’s just the way it goes. If you have kids and are looking for a good kid friendly holiday, this place is really good. But I would definitely say splash the extra few £ and get a bigger, nicer room. For 2 people the room was fine, but if there’s a few of you, it will be wayyyyy too small. The room was the main disappointment during our stay but everything else was really great. Thank you Condesa!

Good enough for short stay

Advanteges are for sure good or even very good and tasty food. All inclusive drinks are amazing and bar service is also superb. On the other hand we have old rooms with a lot of issues and outdate funriture. The balcony look liked from diferent age with tiles visibly being replaced many times. New window without proper finish. Also there is to litle space around the pool and it is just lost for some unnecesary area like big concrete court. There should be more space for pools. The sunbeds are generaly being booked in the early morning and are not even in used most of the time. The main pool area is extremally crouded and feels just to tight. This should be improved. Also some greater renovation should occur soon because it is loosing that good look. Restaurant requires booking time slots for all meals which also can be annoying but that is also caused by the number of people compared to restaurant size which is in short small or unsufficent

What a great place to stay

Reviewed By r0duns

Booked a few days here with daughter. Did not disappoint. The staff were all exceptionally friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and spacious with plenty of storage. Free safe too. Bathroom had refillable toiletries which were lovely (and good for environment) and the towels were huge. Excellent blackout curtains ensured a great nights sleep and super pillows helped too. At breakfast there was a fantastic choice from fresh fruit fruit and breads and pastries through to cold meats and cheeses, even smoked salmon. didn’t try hot section but I gather you could get freshly prepared omelette. If you were staying here for 14 nights I dare say it could get repetitive but we only stayed 5 and it was excellent. Pool area was clean and there were loads free, brand new sun beds. There were young children playing in the pools and just enjoying themselves, not enough noise to be a nuisance. Pool service was fine and you could order drinks/food at your lounger. Music was ok but it might be good to turn off in afternoon when people want to chill out. Check out at 12 is good and they have locked storage for luggage and offer a room to shower and get ready if you’re a late departure as we were. There is a chilled out vibe here with comfy seating, eclectic art and artefacts around the place. Great location near restaurants, bars and supermarkets and literally 5 minutes from the beach. Pretty sure we’ll be back!

2nd time we stayed here so we obviously like it. Hotel is located near to the beach. Staff are all very friendly and helpful especially the bar staff. Only down side is no tea / coffee making facilities in the room, which you would expect in a 4 star hotel. Overall good holiday. Oh the only other thing I would say is how miserable the owners are. They did not once engage the guests, and if anything you could see on the staffs faces and oh no attitude when they arrived! Shame really as staff are so nice.
