We had a fantastic morning, Our instructor Kilian was brilliant, the facility is modern and neat, nice coffee and food available for those just tagging along or too faint hearted to attempt the obstacles

Die Hel

Reviewed By Skaris - Camps Bay, South Africa

We rode Adventure Bikes into Die Hel. I was on a 1200 GSA.. no problem.. we stayed right at the end of Die Hel.. (about 70km) from the turn off... 2 hrs ride.. with stops for pics.. Road is okay except they were grading it so that section was a bit tricky for the heavy bikes... i survived.. beautiful scenery, a definite must to check out.. Strictly self catering.. so be prepared.. we stayed at Bo plaas.. Hannes huis.. very nice... Bad fire through there just over a year ago.. so lots is burnt.. Im glad we experienced Die Hel.

Inverdoorn Private Game Reserve

A boutique safari lodge situated 2.5 hours from Cape Town offering tranquil overnight safari stays in a variety of accommodation types.

Reviewed By JulieB276 - London, United Kingdom

We chose Inverdoorm to introduce our family to safari and to celebrate 2 50th birthdays. We were based in Camps Bay so knew we would be limited. We drove ourselves but understand that a transfer is available. We arrived around 12 noon and was greeted with a smile and a cold drink. The setting is beautiful. We were told and was expecting it, that our rooms were not ready, so we went and had a drink by the pool bar before going to lunch, which again after reading reviews on TripAdvisor we were not really looking forward to it. What a fantastic surprise, it was delicious very well presented and the chicken pie. when we were told that our rooms were ready we were both angry and disappointed that the 4 rooms we reserved and asked for at the time of booking in December, were not together, a fact that for safety we wanted. After a while they did find us rooms way they were in twos, which was better than what was offered, I know this might seem petty but to us as a family with girls staying in a room together we wanted them near us. The lodge rooms were very clean and spacious, plenty of water which we were told if we needed more then just ask, only thing that was missing was a hair dryer, if we were staying more than one night, we would definitely need. The game drives themselves were excellent our ranger was great and we saw all the animals over the 2 drives we did. Evening meal was delicious and huge portions but it was very hot in the restaurant, which made us feel very sleepy and a bit sick so we felt we didn’t enjoy it as much as we could have. Overall a fantastic safari and it was definitely worth the trip from Cape Town.
