Amazing trip!

Our stay at Kapama RIver Lodge was absolutely amazing. We went in the off season and still saw so many animals (including big 5) on game rides. I love that they have the same people assigned to you throughout your stay. You can really tell that the management team has everything organized so well, there is no confusion as to who to find or where to go while you're there. We had Glorida as a waitress for all of our meals, and she was absolutely a delight. Speaking of meals, the food there is amazing. The options are all so tempting and so delicious. The game drives were exhilarating. Our guides, Vulan and Give, had so much experience between the two of them, and made it so fun to track and find animals. They were so incredibly knowledgeable, and so fun to be around. Our reception woman, Rosie, would have been so helpful had we needed her, but everything you need is already given to you! Overall it was the stay of a lifetime, all the staff are so happy and accomodating, most have been there for several years, so you can tell that the lodge does a great job taking care of their employees because it reflexts on how well the employees take care of their guests.

I think all the reviews say it all, as an ex-hotelier in London, this place is spot on & value for money. The rooms are beaulifully appointed, they contain everything that you would want. Bathroom was lovely with all 5 Star supplies. It is winter now & the hotel supplied us with a log fire, turned down the beds with Chocatlate & hotwater bottles, which was a very nice touch. The breakfast was too many courses, but of high quality. They even cleaned the car in the morning, I had not requested this service!

Lovely boutique hotel below Table Mountain. Beautiful interior with lovey amenities and a great selection for breakfast. Pool and hot tub are available. We booked a room with a deck that overlooks the pool and had a view of the harbor. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, especially Berwen and Luca, who both went out of their way to make the stay friendly and personable.

Very Warm Welcome, Impressive Facility

Thanks to Dorothy! She is a very competent Front Office Manager. She gave us a very warm welcome. It was great. Also Thanks to Theo, he is a super concierge and always helped us! The architecture of the hotel is impressive. You feel like you're in a different time. The staff is very friendly. The rooms are large, many rooms face the garden. The price level for overnight stays is very high. You pay much more for a sea view room. The food in the hotel is very good and inexpensive. The hotel is quiet and very centrally located. Great view (lighthouse!). Unfortunately the beach was closed due to the flooding in the area of Durban a month ago. The curry dishes are highly recommended.

My room was perfection with a balcony overlooking Cape Town and the waterfront. I also enjoyed a hot bath or spacious shower each day. I hope to be back one day. We had a room upgrade for the most wonderful view from the hotel. We arrive at the sunset and take a glass of white wine in our room with a superb view. A scene to never forget! Beautiful room, super modern....top amenities. The hotel's decor is beautiful, and full of artwork. We even bought a sculpture that was on display at the hotel. Wonderful breakfast, with a stunning view. It is on Camps Bay beach. Super nice place in Cape Town. I recommend staying in this area.... a beautiful place, with super high spirits and the hotel is worth the value. When back in Cape Town, I will definitely stay at the Pod again. Thanks for the excellent stay.
