We were coming back from Clock Tower to our hotel when we spotted this place and thought of trying the food here. This place offers great food at budget price. The food is really awesome and the ambiance too is nicely done. The people here are serving the food with a smile.
This is a good option for lunch. They have some menu options with fried rice or noodles and vegetarian sides. Place is nice and clean, service is fairly quick.
Food is good overall. However just like any other restaurant in Bhutan, a la carte means food is not ready. They're slow in service and take a lot of time for basics like a sandwich too.
We went there for evening snacks. The place is small. The service is good. The snacks and the tea we had were good. Their local tea variant called Suja was very good. The food price is low.
Located on Chang Lam near Hong Kong Market, just Off the popular Norzin Lam street, offers Bhutanese Cuisine. The Tibetan Baley ( Similar to Indian Bread - Bhatura / Puri ) served with Kewa Datshi or Shamu Datshi. Avoid Ema Datshi - the most popular dish as they use Cheap hot Indian Chilies instead of the pricey Bhutanese Chilies & the Datshi served here are very dry. Hence do not order to have it with rice. Try the Suja - Butter Tea & Thukpa - a soupy noodle dish .

The hotel is located right on the main road so parking could be a problem. It is a budget hotel with a restraurent which is excellent value for money. It serves Bhutanese and Indian foods and remains operational even in the hight of winter when a bulk of budget hotels shut down in Thimphu. It has recently been renovated but still remains a very reasonably priced hotel. It does not accept cards.

There are not many Chinese eateries in Bhutan. This, to my opinion, is the best in town. The Malaysian chef of this Restaurant also brings in the typical Malaysian Chinese favor. Great experience. Very good meal!

My groups like many of the restaurants I bring them to, but this one they always tell me is the best food they've eaten in Thimphu. I agree. The food is Bhutanese with a modern twist, though some items are wholly Bhutanese, just very well executed. The restaurant is attractive and the staff friendly located above downtown, though easy to reach.

This is quite smart restaurant in the middle of the city. The decor is very neat and tidy and thre is a pleasant and friendly feel about the place. I noticed that there were locals eating there, not just foreigners, which is aleways a good sign. The service was very good, friendly and helpful. The food was a mixture of local and other more westernised dishes. Everything we had was tasty and really enjoyable.Prices were reasonable for a good quality place.Well reommended.
