Excellent Location , Beautiful Views, great Hospitality
Reviewed By RajendraC142I stayed with my family on 26 th April 2019 at this hotel. The View of the river is beautiful, rejuvenating. The Hotel is located at higher altitude along the bank of river Puna Tsang Chu. The suspension bridge and Punakha Dzong is around 5 Km from this place. Breakfast and food is lovely. You can buy from local market by crossing the river using steel bridge near the hotel.

Reviewed By denniscaseyGood food buffet style. Cocktails that have honesty bar. Show at 6pm. Hotel on several levels. Room very well lates out with all amenities. Good nights sleep and very much the Bhutan way Guides always on time. Friendless is the byword. You feel that you are on holiday. Fully recommend this hotel

Drubchhu is a family owned and managed resort. Overlooking paddy fields and farm houses, Drubchhu is developed on the ruins of an old granary which was built by Zhabdung Jigme Choegyal more than a hundred years ago. The property has a natural spring believed to be a Drubchhu (healing/miraculous water).
Nice service but the heater to be improved
Reviewed By Maryfern2001We have a big room under the Drubchhu cafe. It has nice view over the valley and padi field. However, the heater is small and not sufficient for such a big room. The hotel staff got us an additional small mobile heater but it brings not much help. Again, we are freezing in the winter.

Modern and Comfortable Hotel
Reviewed By Gordon TThe RKPO Green Resort is located in Punakha Valley and its location is very convenient for visiting most all of the attractions in this area. From this Resort it was just a short drive to visit the Punakha Dzong, Sangchhen Dorji Lhuendrup Lhakhang Nunnery, Chimi Lhakhang Temple and Tachog Lhakhang (Iron Chain) Bridge. The Green Resort is clean, modern and has good service - from the front desk to the restaurant staff. Our standard room is very spacious (see photos) with plenty of room to move around. There are nice, heavily padded easy chairs located right in front of the large window that overlooks the Ponakha Valley - nice! The bathroom has separate shower and bathtub with sufficient space for moving around. Highly recommend this RKPO Green Resort while in Punakha because it is a very nice place to stay while visiting this area.

Reviewed By Experience453460Went there in November 2019 with my friends. We booked River Facing Rooms, so, got perfect view of River and outside area from room itself. Staff is very polite and helpful. Would have given 5/5, but food was not that excellent.

Con’s are the dogs at night right in front of your hotel (ask management to handle them, worked well the second night) AND cleanness of the room. Also the spa-room is very outdated while the bodymassage was excellent.

Reviewed By Annu2608We have stayed at Punakha Residency for 1 night. Hotel rooms were small. There was no heater in the room. We could hear dogs barking all night and couldn't sleep. Food was okay. Hotel staff were polite.

It has it's own charm
Reviewed By rahul_upadhyaySituated at a height, so the you can see whole punakha town sitting in your balcony. Rooms are medium sized but well maintained. So are the bathrooms. The diamond in the ring is the peace and view you get while your stay. The restaurant serves very good food. Ask for a valley view room if possible. As it is at a distance from the town you may have to take a cab or you need your own vehicle. The people are very polite and humble.
