We had a lovely two-night stay at the Le Meridien Thimphu. Everything was first rate - the room, the service, the facility and the food. From the moment we arrived we were treated like honored guests. Deepraj (the manager) and Pema (front desk) greeted us and checked us in. Throughout our stay, they and the other staff addressed us by name. I must say that all of the staff was highly professional and welcoming and they did everything to ensure that our stay was enjoyable. The highlight of checking in was the tray full of snacks and the amazing honey ginger lemongrass tea as we got to our room! The entire facility was top-notch. Our room was spacious and well appointed, the bathroom was luxurious and we had great views of the city and surrounding hillsides. They even left towel swans on our bed! The facility had a pool, sauna and spa. The food was terrific - we particularly enjoyed the evening happy hour menu and the fresh local juices/tonics at breakfast. The hotel was also centrally located and was walkable to just about everything in town. Somehow we felt both pampered as well as comfortable and "at home" during our stay. If you are booking a tour in Bhutan, make sure to request Le Meridien Thimphu with your tour operator. We booked our trip through Bhutan Homestay and they were extremely flexible and accommodating - enabling us to book direct with the hotel and making this upgraded and memorable experience possible.

Terma Linca Resort and Spa is located in Babesa, Thimphu, Bhutan which is only 7 km away from Thimphu city, making it the most ideal base from which to explore the tiny kingdom’s spectacular monasteries, centuries-old street festivals, scenic mountain passes, authentic traditional Bhutanese houses and pristine wilderness, all within easy reach.
We recently visited North east through Nature wings. This was not the first time we had booked our holiday through them. This was our 5th holiday with them. But this time we found that they were more concerned about Customer satisfaction and for that they had kept a separate coordinate for us named Ms. Sabrita ( from Bhutan). She used to call us every evening and ask us whether everything was fine. She made us very comfortable and made our holiday more special by giving timely suggestions about the places to visit and the time to visit. We were highly impressed with her and this initiative of nature wings. The vehicle which they had arranged was amazing and the driver was well versed with the route. The hotels which were booked were mesmerising especially the one at Shillong ( Ri Kunjai ) and at Cherrapunji ( Jiva Resort). Overall this was our best experience with Nature wings so far and will highly recommend everyone to book atleast one holiday with them and make a memorable trip. Regards Suman Singh

A boutique Hotel tucked away from noisy city traffic with wonderful sweeping views of the Thimphu Valley. The suites are modeled on a mixture of traditional Bhutanese style and service with modern design offering fine dining, a bar, relaxing tea-lounge, Wi-Fi broadband internet access, room service, currency exchange and laundry service.
Stay was quite comfortable. Minor issues with food. Food was not as per Indian taste. Waiting time was also bit more. Hotel rooms are quite big and have good features like heater, sitting space, kitchen. It seems that food is an issue in entire Bhutan except Phuentsholing. So we can accept the limitations on hotels.

The Pema is a chic four-star boutique hotel in Thimphu, Bhutan's capital city. Our 27 rooms are aesthetically designed to balance contemporary decor and conveniences with traditional Bhutanese design. Suites make up more than half of the inventory of rooms. The hotel features two restaurants - Zhego and M Bistro - and the country's first open rooftop bar, as well as a spa and fitness centre.
If safety, comfort, high standard of service and hygiene at affordable rates is what you want then this is the place you should be. As they say a home away from home. Ideally located close to main market yet away from noise. Enjoy Jim or indulge in spa if you like.

Welcome to the restored and redefined Hotel Galingkha. Situated literally in the heart and junction of what is the burgeoning capital of Bhutan in Thimphu, the hotel is one of the oldest in the kingdom. When the capital was first planned and developed, the area in which Hotel Galingkha is located was literally Ground Zero. This area is as much the beginning of what is today a rapidly growing capital of 90,000 inhabitants as it was when the area was nothing but rural houses and rice fields. Change is imminent and the agrarian life and its accompanying tools and symbols have led way to a vibrant and commercial hub that breathes life into the rest of Bhutan. Today Thimphu is not just the face of a changing Bhutan but also the face of a kingdom that wants to transform in its own image. And this is where Hotel Galingkha takes pride in being one of the faces of a changing Bhutan. The hotel has been restored maintaining a delicate and fine balance between the traditional Bhutanese architecture and practical modern amenities to keep provide our clients with the comforts of a home, the caring services and atmosphere of a family and a vantage location to explore the main streets, bars, restaurants, handicrafts and the colorful nooks and corners of Thimphu.

Taj Tashi, perfectly located in the heart of the capital city of Bhutan, enjoys panoramic views of the mountain valley. Situated within the heart of the Thimphu valley but just off the main road, Osel is a 35 room 4 star property. We are proud to feature among the largest in-class rooms and be among the only few properties within the city limits to still have amazing views. Views include the Tashicho Dzong as well as the seated Buddha, all of this is in addition to the ever present glorious mountains that adorn all of Bhutan.
10 Days of stay in Hotel OSEL was a great memorable moment for me. The staff are very friendly and nice. Especially during COVID time too, the staff from the Hotel were very responsive and offered good hospitality. Mansingh, who was in charge during my stay at Hotel had helped me a lot in person and made my stay very comfortable. The large suites are really nice with a substantial lounge with views of mountains and the view of The Buddha point. The amenities and service was awesome. Dogs barking at night could be an issue. Overall a good hotel with comfortable stay in Thimphu.

The approach to service at Khang Residency lies in the seamless comingling of traditional Bhutanese hospitality with modern-day comforts that make up the hallmark of any top notch hotel around the world. In Bhutan, the policy is not just about facilitating the inflow of more and more guests, but also ensuring the highest level of service. From its very inception Khang Residency has given priority to this aspect of service and lives up to the standards that the business demands from the finest hotels in the kingdom.
It's been 6 months since my stay at Khang Residency. The euphoria of my trip to Bhutan, including my stay at Khang Residency on my first night, still remains. From the hot tea to the lemon grass scent hot towel at the lobby, Khang Residency set the travelling mind at ease and at home immediately. The room was - wow, spacious, well furnished, clean and well maintained. The room and bed were sufficiently warm enough for me to adjust to the first winter night (I live near the equator). Though one might have heard about the barking of dogs in Thimphu in the night, this barking is the sound of benevolence and compassion in Bhutan. And at Khang Residency, I could still hear the barking - faintly. So, if you are a light sleeper, this hotel might be a good choice for you. I can't thank the staff enough for helping me to wear the Kira - from wrapping me sufficiently and securely so that I could hike comfortably without fearing that the 'skirt' would come off (haha), to looking high and low for a safety pin that I requested to hold the 'blouse' together. Throughout the process, we were giggling and laughing away like how sisters would. Thank you, Khang Residency, for your warmth and hospitality. May you come back well and strong when tourism resumes after the Covid-19 pandemic. Meanwhile, stay safe.

The most centrally located hotel in Thimphu, the capital city of Bhutan. Very popular among all kinds of travelers esp for the quality of cuisine. Also well known for its "very personalized" service. We have just completed our full renovation. GYM, SPA, and a CAFE were the new additions to our property.
