Location Superb

Towels were quite rough. Bed very hard and not comfortable to sleep in. Set in a beautiful location and very easy to find. If a few changes were made it is certainly good value for money. The food was lovely and the cost was very reasonable.

Yep Really Good Stay but Hot

Reviewed By Martin K

Stayed here on business whilst working near Lille and was not disappointed - my only gripe was that the rooms are very hot at night due to there being no air conditioning but to be fair I read this in the reviews before I booked. Thomas who works in reception area and pretty much runs this place gets 5 stars. There is no dining area but if you ask Thomas he will organise a dinner tray for you and bring it to your room - I had salmon one night and chicken on another and it was very good and very reasonably priced. breakfast is included in the booking and again it is served in the room (left outside door) and changes from day to day. fruit, tea cereal, croissants etc. very good. the pool is also available and relaxing after a day at the office. towels, flip flops and dressing gown are provided in the room so you can change before leaving the room. changing facilities are available by the pool if your prefer. I was leaving too early for breakfast on the Friday morning but Thomas sorted this by providing me with a breakfast tray on the Thursday night. the rooms are all fairly well sized with big bathrooms. rooms have access to tea and coffee with fresh water from bottles on the landing area. all in all a good stay.

Lovely surroundings but needs attention

Reviewed By MARGOT4

It would appear there has been little investment over the years to update the facilities. I imagine in its heyday this was 'the place' but now is looking tired and in need of a facelift. The quiet site itself is well tended and the brick built chalets are well spaced amongst the trees. Games are provided at intervals e.g. boules/badminton etc. The chalet we had was basic with kitchen and 2 bedrooms. One double bed in one room and one room with 2 single beds. The double was comfortable but the singles not great for 2 adults. The kitchen was equipped with crockery and cutlery but no tea towels or detergent. The main drawback was that there was no settee or place to sit comfortably inside. The shower worked well once you mixed the right temperature. It was clean but just in need of TLC. Bearing in mind the area this could be a gold mine.

Excellent end to our holiday!

Reviewed By Victoriaellenlogue

My husband booked a roulotte here for our last night in France (we'd been holidaying for a month) and he said that he'd saved something special for our last night...and that he had! Having struggled a little to find it we arrived at tea time and were amazed by the quirkiness of the accommodation-our 6 and 3 year old were so excited to explore the roulotte! They desperately wanted to stay longer but we were catching the tunnel back to England the next morning so it was a very brief visit. It was a pity that it was raining as the setting was very pretty. On our way to the tunnel we realised that our youngest hadn't got his beloved teddy bear so we presumed it had fallen down the side of the bed-I contacted Patrice on our return to England and he very kindly sent it to us in the post. The roulotte was very comfortable and cosy. Our only criticism would be that the shower was not at all powerful. We would definitely like to return there!

'The King of Bed & Breakfast!' 'Le roi des chambres d'hôtes!'

Reviewed By AJW74

'The King of Bed & Breakfast!' 'Le roi des chambres d'hôtes!' The question everyone wants to know is; "Would you stay again" - Answer; "In a heartbeat"! Without doubt the best B&B I have ever stayed at. Anne-Marie, (the owner) was attentive, professional and very lovely throughout our overnight stay making us all feel so welcome. The property itself and the grounds are breathtaking, the facilities were second to none as was an amazing breakfast. There are two bedrooms, on the first floor was the main living area and one bedroom with a double bed as well as an ensuite bathroom. The second bedroom was split over two floors. A single bed on the first floor ideal for anyone up to around 6' tall, then up some stairs to the second floor to a double bed and ensuite. The views were amazing, beds comfortable, both mattresses were quite soft. In the main room there is plenty to do should the weather be poor, TV, and free Wi-Fi loads of games and books. Only a very small issue, the upstairs shower is very low, so be warned that if you are over 5'7" you will have to duck down a little, but I personally think this adds the quirkiness to the amazing place. We had a walk over to the lake, not very easy if you have difficulty walking and all but impossible if your in a wheelchair. The lake can only be seen from two points due to it being overgrown. Still a nice walk though. Anne-Marie greeted up, made us drinks, (wine, beer etc) and told us a little of the family history, she was quite perfect in every way! Breakfast was extraordinary, freshly squeezed oranges, and pretty much everything you could wish for. The coffee was good too! The jams were so good, (all home made), we asked to purchase a couple of jars from her as well. It was a shame we were only here overnight, all of us would love to revisit again. Simply the best B&B any of us have ever visited - Thank You -- Merci beaucoup, c'était incroyable

At the end of a trying drive from the south of Italy, with some stomach problems added, we discovered this, hard to describe, haven. Urbane and charming hosts, a cornucopia of contents and a classic setting. A comfortable room and a fine bathroom, if with a noisy macerater toilet. Treat yourself to a slightly grand breakfast, good bread and great jam.

Beautiful Gite

Reviewed By Danniid

Stayed in the 4 person Gite for the weekend with my family, was a beautiful property in the French countryside, really peaceful & relaxing. Was about 20 minutes outside of Le Touquet, very remote with no shops or bars within walking distance, although only a short drive to nearest bakery & shop. The Gite is extremely well equipped & of a very high standard of decor, we would love to return just for longer next time & in one of the larger properties!!!
