Nice place to stay for business travellers
Reviewed By Ivar TI recently stayed at Porto Resort for nearly two weeks and I enjoyed my stay. It is no way fancy but decent food and lodging. Breakfast was same every day and I missed my oat meal, but there was all I needed. Dinner was also very good and I did enjoy every meal. The room was fine and suitable for a business traveler not not asking for fancy stuff. The only minus I found was that it would take 1½ hour to heat the sauna. As I did not know what time I would be home I did not want to ask the hotel to heat it prior to my expected return.

Reviewed By DietmarGruberNice room in a private flat! Very good and friendly service. Light rooms and good beds. Breakfast at 9 o‘clock. Could be better. Relation between price and arrangement is perfect. Not far away from the old city. Enjoy!

Musky, damp smelling hotel with even more putrid smelling service.
Reviewed By Al33M1 star only because of location, otherwise I would score it less. This place was BAD! Starting from the rails of clothing for sale in front of check in to decor. Worst part was the smell, we were told it was the cleaning products but in reality it was cleaning products plus dampness. Everything just had a musky damp smell combined with lavender and vinegar based cleaning product. When we expressed our concerns, we were told nobody else minded the smell and that we should be happy that they are cleaning their place regularly. We very quickly came to the conclusion that we would not get anywhere with the management and decided to just stay out of the room as much as we could. Next morning, we headed off to a family event 2 hours drive in Cesis, which went on to early hours and we decided to stay the night. In the morning we had missed calls and messages from hotel stating "as we had not stayed the night we should return room key so that can remarket room". We called and spoke with manager who sent message and told him that we had paid for the room and whether we slept in it or not was none of their business and that we would return key at the end of our booking. This person then cancelled our booking via booking.com stating we had not checked in! Leaving us without our fully paid for accommodation. Upon our return to Riga, we went to the hotel to speak with manager who was not present but the member of staff who was there stated in no uncertain terms that they did not care what we thought. We have submitted our complaint with photographic and video evidence to Booking.com.

После заезда пришлось перемыть все шуфлятки, в которых остались грязь, волосы, серёжка от предыдущих жильцов, слой жира на вытяжке я отмывал почти час. Хозяин на мою претензию заявил, что если мне не нравится, могу вызвать клининг самостоятельно и за свой счёт. Портить отношения я не хотел, т.к. семью оставлял на 2 месяца. Попросил телефон клининга, мне пообещали его сказать позже, но я так и не дождался. Слышимость в доме замечательная, когда кто-то из соседей закрывает дверь, слышно как-будто это в твоей комнате. Мебель и ванная изрядно потрепанные. Кровать скрипит так, что повернуться на другой бок невозможно, не разбуди ребёнка. Через месяц убили двух тараканов, пошли к хозяину, на что нам заявили, что у него не было никогда и это мы их привезли. Ну да, и они месяц прятались в чемодане. Хозяин вообще не принимает никакой критики в свой адрес. Когда выезжали, пытался стрясти 20 евро дополнительно на клининг. Интересно, на какой, за 2 месяца, что там провела жена, никакой клининг ни разу не приезжал. В целом, остался очень недоволен. Ну и немного фотографий.

Позитивные отзывы видимо пишут родственники хозяйки. У хозяйки похоже психоэмоциональное расстройство с элементами шизофрении. Такое впечатление что приехал не на отдых, а срок отбывать в колонии строгого режима. Шаг вправо, шаг влево - расстрел. Отслеживается все, вплоть до того в каком положении лежали подушки и в каком углу стояла туалетная бумага на момент заселения. Худшее место где когда либо доводилось отдыхать!!!

Schlechte Organisation!
Reviewed By ThomasKnitschUnser Sohn musste die Unterkunft vorzeitig nach einer Woche verlassen, obwohl wir für ihn 2 Wochen gebucht hatten. Der neue Gast kam und unser Sohn musste gehen. Ganz schlechte Organisation und sehr schlechter Stil! Nicht weiter zu empfehlen!

Reviewed By mistwraithVery quiet, 10 mins walk from old town. Difficult to find as it is basically a few rooms in a basement in the corner of a large square residential block with no hotel signage ( see attached photos ) . It has a key pad which you are emailec the code of for the front door (which is down very steep steps) then a box in the entrance with another code for your individual room key. No reception or staff, so they shouldn't call it an hotel - it's rooms! All rooms are below street level with a barred 'window' in a cut out recess to let light in. (See photos) This makes it dark, quiet & restful for sleep, but it is basically a cellar. Rooms are clean, bed comfy, lots of hanging space. Hairdryer tv internet all fine. Had to argue to get sufficient bedding - a single duvet was put on a double bed (see photo).cleaner there when we arrived said it was a double! Finally got by emailing main booking.
