The best available Resorts to stay near Phoenix

April 19, 2023 Alice Mieles

Nearly perfect year-round weather and several impeccably designed championship courses have made Phoenix one of the top golf destinations in the world. But there's more to this mild-mannered metropolis than pristine greens and tee times. The greater Phoenix area also offers visitors an array of impressive cultural attractions. Visit the internationally renowned Heard Museum for an in-depth look at Native American history or peruse the fine collection at the Phoenix Museum of Art. Enjoy a ballet performance at the ornate Orpheum Theater or or catch a concert at the state-of-the-art Comerica Theatre. In addition to golf, the city offers access to numerous outdoor endeavors including rock climbing, hot-air ballooning, desert jeep tours and more. Family-friendly attractions, first-rate shopping, dining and entertainment, and spectacular recreational activities make Phoenix a must-visit destination.

Characterful Resort

Reviewed By MyrtleWiltshire

Beautiful grounds with the rooms scattered around charming little courtyards, sitting areas and lawns. Our casita had a small patio at the back surrounded by a high wall, and a more open one at the front under bougainvillea. While the room had all we needed (including a pod coffee machine) it was very dark, even in the bright sunshine of day and the electric lights were entirely inadequate, they need better lighting in there! Dinner and breakfast at the restaurant were excellent. We enjoyed a guided tour of the characterful main building with its beautiful furnishings and decor.

Four Seasons Prices for Hotel 6 Quality

The prices for food and drinks are OUTRAGEOUS! Be ready to spend ridiculous amounts on disgusting, crap food and drinks. They don’t allow outside food/drinks so you’re basically held hostage. Not fun is you’re staying for more than 1 day.

Girls' Night at the Biltmore

We had a memorable girls' night at the Biltmore. We started with dinner at Renata's Hearth, then went to the Citrus Club Lounge and enjoyed a drink by the fire on the patio. Traci, the hostess, was gracious, and accommodating. She made sure we were comfortable, and happy. We wandered the gorgeous grounds after and took turns spinning on the rotating chairs, falling off and laughing.

Our family gathered for a memorial day weekend while celebrating my son's 3rd birthday. We can't say enough good things about this place, gorgeous setting, and excellent service, and we were very impressed with the property's incredible views. Even more impressive was just how much the staff cared about making sure our stay was perfect, from a room with a nice view at check-in to each person's care and professionalism. Thanks to Ms. Nermina for taking the time to answer our questions. A special shout out to Sherry from In-room dining; she was so pleasant and always happy to serve us! She surprised us with a personalized note and a delightful dessert plate for my little one's 3rd birthday, which made our stay even better, so kudos to her exceptional work! Tia Carmen was so Incredible. Thanks to our server Roma! Overall, we had a fantastic time at the resort during our stay!

Outdated and unresponsive staff

There were a few issues with my room including AC problems and sheets that were stained and threadbare. Took two days and three contacts with staff to get the sheets changed. AC was never resolved. No idea why they didn’t just move us to another room. The bathroom at the main pool is filthy. Never got a dining credit that was supposed to be included in the room rate. Called about it, was told it would be fixed and it never was. Bright spot was the upscale restaurant with a gorgeous view.

Pretty average.

This review is a harder one to write. There are some good things here. And some not so good. First the staff was super nice. The pool area in the hotel is great. The common area like the lobby appear updated and are nice. The attached waterpark needs an overhaul. And cleaner water. My room needed help. It was old and the door was somewhat broken. And the maids seemed to want to come in several times a day which was odd since I opted out of maid service. Overall average, but the pool is nice.

Great Location, cool vibe

I was booked here on business and it did not disappoint. I love a hotel that has a bar or restaurant onsite and is open for later arrivals! I really enjoyed the room that was very clean and decorated with really cool accents. Staff was very nice there as well. I had both breakfast and dinner and was happy with both! Very enjoyable and will come back here!
