Wedding vow renewal

We had a great experience. Staff were great. Food was good. Rooms were comfortable and clean. The beach was disappointing…no fault of Naples Grande….just nature. The beach water in that area is brown and cloudy….brine possibly from the man groves. Good to know if you are planning a day at the beach and looking forward to swimming.

Can be great!

Very good not great. We stayed in room 416 and with some cosmetic/refurb fixes could be great. See photos for mold, rust, cosmetic issues in that room that should be addressed. Excellent location. Shuttle to clam pass is good however the boardwalk in is very long. Service is fantastic as always. Pool is small but is nice if you don't want to venture to the beach. There's also a small hot tub. Covered parking is available for free! Excellent comfy beds and clean room/facilities.

We were a party of three in a two bedroomed suite. Room quality was OK, a bit overpriced but adequate. What we did not expect was the animal noises throughout the night midway through our stay for a period of about 5 days. Not sure whether these were the ducks or frogs mating! These started about 1pm and continued to about 3am/4am. They were loud and quite piercing. My wife suffered badly getting only 2/3 hrs sleep on some nights. I resorted to ear plugs. Not what I would have wanted to relax on my holiday. The last 4 days were fine but my holiday was spoilt by then.

Don’t Waste Your Money/Time - Worst Ritz Experience

Reviewed By 936briang

Do not waste your time and money staying at this property. They are in the midst of a major renovation and the place is a mess. I stay at various hotels for business and pleasure and this was a huge letdown. Sadly, I lost a much needed weekend with my family. The construction was not that big of a deal - it’s the service now that is in shambles. The hotel is not being honest about what is happening and the traveler will suffer. Reservations: I talked with someone at the hotel the morning of my arrival and they attempted the upgrade my room. I was told we would have a king and the “upgrade” was a full size bed with a larger living room. Odd bed size for such a great room. Not much of an upgrade when you are squeezing in a full! Front Desk: Make shift area cannot service the customers it has. Waited for 20 minutes just to get a new key to our room when the other went bad. A few desks where thrown in a room… people packed in trying to get information. Bad situation. Valet: it’s a traffic jam just getting your car or an Uber…. Be prepared to wait. Pool Area: Only one small pool is open and it does not even compare to a community pool. Broken ladder (with caution tape). Looks like a dump. Pool would not meet the needs of a motel. Wait staff is non-existent and they were not busy. That was the worst part of the pool experience. The positive -Good live music on Saturday. Sushi Restaurant: Service is not good- waited for quite a while for food and they forgot my entree. As I mentioned above this hotel should not be open… they should shutdown until they can service people appropriately. The positives- Good music. Beach Area- Great area and service- Ask for Mark and you will be happy. The one major positive of the trip. New Rooms: the rooms are nice and when this renovation is done let’s hope the service can catch up. In a year this could be a nice hotel. Right now it feels like you are walking around in a “funhouse” with all the boarded up corridors. There are a lot of people standing around, but when you need something they are short staffed. I am shocked that the Ritz management would allow this to happen. A real “bait and switch” situation. Unfortunately, it’s all about the money nowadays. As I said above the construction is what it is- but poor service is never acceptable. You have been warned! I wish I would have checked Trip Advisor sooner and we would have hit the many other great hotels in Florida.
