The Beachwood is a family friendly ocean front lodging establishment located in the heart of Old Orchard Beach, Maine. Each unit is newly remodeled and offers a full kitchenette, Keurig coffee machine, DVD player, flat screen television and a fresh beach decor. We provide complimentary coffee, newspapers, beach chairs and umbrellas, long distance telephone calls are free as is quality wifi access and we provide onsite coin operated laundry for our guests. Our beachfront pool is heated with plenty of seating and our front lawn has a barbeque area with 3 Weber grills for guests to use and additional lounge chairs. Our prime location offers spectacular ocean views and a very short walk to area attractions, restaurants, entertainment and amusements. We are an eco-friendly establishment that has invested significantly to reduce our impact on the environment.

Reviewed By Freedom41186259646The stay was beyond our expectations! The staff were friendly. Beach access was steps away. There was also a complimentary Starbucks coffee machine in the lobby that made the stay even better. The light show also was enjoyable at the hotel. There is also a bar on site offering beer selections and special cocktails such as a pin-a-colada. There are also a couple of grills on site that any guests can use. The rooms have a kitchenette with utensils. We will visit again and probably make a nice dinner in the kitchenette. The Shack is a nearby restaurant that serves excellent clam chowder and other good food! Highly recommend!!!!! A++++

Reviewed By RebelHeart8495I rented a room for my fiancé's birthday as a gift. We are both avid lovers of the beach and I decided it would be a great gift to relax and decompress from our busy lives. I was impressed with the hospitality and the staff. The staff were helpful and very nice while we stayed there. I rented one of the jacuzzi rooms which was great. Our first night wasn't so good. It was around 10pm when we noticed water leaking through a vent above our bed. Our bed was trenched with water from the above room which at the time was unoccupied. We were not offered new bedding or a discount on our room. We were forced to use the towels provided to try and soak up the water that had leaked in. My fiancé and I decided a walk on the beach would be great at night. We proceeded to go to the beach when we noticed two men, one on the balcony and another on the sidewalk (terrace) smoking cigarettes, they were not in designated smoking area. We noticed tons of cigarettes thrown all the over terrace. We also notice one lady in one of the above rooms sneak out her dog. Policy and the Abellona strictly forbids domestic pets. There was no staff to be found and multiple people who did not belong in the parking lot we there after dark. There were people bringing their dogs outside to use the bathroom. Jacuzzi room was good because of the jacuzzi, but room ceiling was very low, bathroom very small, and personally we feel the price was too much. Bed was off center and there was not box spring. The mattress was on top a frame without much support.

This stay was very poor, no picnic table near our room, no grill near by, had to use the grill on the other side of the property, I left the grill in better condition then I found it. I.love swimming, not able to swim, the pool was barely running, not cleaned and garbage was all over the ground, sleeping was poor, the full size bed kept falling off the base. I witnessed many patrons waiting for someone to come to the office, new owners were no where to be found. The staff was very sketchy, drinking while on the job, one gentleman looked intoxicated !! I would never go back!!

I doubt that anyone could have been more accommodating and kind. I have stayed across this country on business …. Even at places renowned for customer service. Each of those places could learn a lot from Missy and staff . She makes her guest’s comfort her priority.

We now have 3 luxury suites on our property ... the Grand Suite, the Penthouse Suite and the Honeymoon Suite. Our property also has kitchenette units, Jacuzzi rooms and of course, ocean view rooms that will take your breath away. We are a beachfront property offering a seasonal outdoor heated swimming pool for the entire family (children & adults) to enjoy and we offer a seasonal outdoor hot tub spa for adults (18 years of age and over). Bring your hamburgers and hot dogs because the grills are located poolside for your convenience. All rooms have a mini fridge, microwave and coffee maker along with free Wi-Fi and nationwide calling. The suites and kitchenettes are fully appointed ... just bring your clothing and food.

Gorgeous pool and hot tub (even if April is still too cold to use them!). Easy walking distance to the pier/amusement park/restaurants. Good parking setup. Hardwood floors in the room; large flat screen tv with channel guide, a fridge - we really had everything, and for an excellent value. Would recommend; will return!

Reviewed By MarknJulie51212We stayed at this motel from Wednesday-Saturday 1.5 weeks after Labor Day weekend. We got the double queen bed with kitchenette and ocean view and stayed on the bottom level in the building closest to the pier. It was a great view and the entrance to the beach was just a few steps away. There are nice Adirondack chairsKitchenette served its purpose for what we needed and the room was nice. Bathroom was decent too. We notice things but we aren’t super picky people so I won’t go into details. We would stay here again for sure. One thing we didn’t know was that old orchard beach is very quiet during the week in September until about Thursday and Friday when things liven up for the weekend. More stores opened and there was a car show Friday and Saturday. Cute town and everything is in walking distance from the motel, we didn’t even use our car. Restaurant selection is slim as well and we had to hunt for what places were open and for what hours. Due to the COVID unemployment issues and seasonality, you may want to consider when you want to visit. We enjoyed the quiet but glad things got lively.

We also own another building around the corner where we offer more 1 bedroom suites. We have friendly, hardworking staff geared to making your stay with us a memorable as possible. We started updated the Motel in the fall and hope you will be able to join us this summer to see the wonderful changes!

Reviewed By ellenloveellenI don't know where to start..this place was horrible! The ac didn't work in our crappy room and they didn't want to do anything about it...offered us a box fan! I told them that was unacceptable but they didn't care. My husband then said give us another room with ac..they finally did. I paid alot of money for one night there. We also found a pornographic pic in the hallway! Omg...we were horrified! Do kot go here
