Located in the very Northwest corner of Pennsylvania, Erie is the State's only Great Lakes port city. The Lake is the main attraction in Erie, with the sparkling water giving Erie its nickname, "Gem City." The nearby peninsula of Presque Isle State Park provides residents and visitors ample opportunities for outdoor activities such as sailing, swimming, hiking, and biking. The city is also part of the Snowbelt, famous for the winter wonderland created by the lake effect.

Worst place ever, AVIOD!!

Worst place ever. Save your money and go to any number of real hotels in Erie. The manager refused to honor my reservation because I wouldn't show him a SECOND credit card after making the reservation with my wife's card. Btw, my wife's credit score is well over 800. He acted like a spoiled child, told me "you blew it" and ordered me off the property. When I insisted on checking in he called the police on me and hid in his office until they arrived (about a half hour), thereby ensuring none of the 20 people in the lobby could check in. The police are very familiar with him and apologized to me for the hassle. Repeated emails to Motel6 corporate were ignored. Save yourself a major headache and reserve at a substantially better hotel (which, quite honestly, is almost anywhere else).

Very nice place. The front desk guy was very nice and helpful, the rooms were clean and looks like they are starting to update something. I will be staying here in the future and recommending for my family to use in the future. I was also very affordable.

Not As Good As It Was Prior To The Covid Virus

We were a party of 3 traveling from Montana to upstate NY for a funeral. Had stayed here a couple of times a few years ago but it was not the same as it was then. Overall, our room was good with everything working. The only odd item was that the glass tray will missing in the room's microwave. Place was super quiet account there was hardly anyone staying here. Pricing was fine. The buffet breakfast that used to be offered is down to a trickle and I'll chalked that up to the pandemic. There is a very very limited selection. Room renovations seems to be taking place. Future survival or growth of this property again will depend on finding workers and getting past the pandemic to restore what used to be an excellent place to stay in Erie, PA.

greedy, disgusting owner

Reviewed By B5083BWalyssam

I meant to book for the next night, but accidentally booked the same night. When I realized this, I canceled it within an hour of booking (it was already 8 or 9pm also) and called expedia to get a refund. They said the owner was "sticking to the policies" and couldn't help. I called the motel and got the run around basically. The owner is refusing to refund me, even though he lost NO BUSINESS due to my mistake. I am a student without an income currently and that $90 gone is huge. What a slimy way to run a business and terrible way to be a human. Zero compassion, only cares about making a buck. Hard to even express how upset this makes me.
