Overnight stay on our way to Florida. This hotel was very clean from the lobby, breakfast area to our room. Front desk staff especially Beth were very friendly from check in to having to come down at 11pm to get a extra blanket. Breakfast was good, hot and had plenty of selection. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

FILTHY is the only way to describe this Super 8

Filth is the best way to describe this Super 8. The room was supposed to be 2 queen beds and it was 2 full beds with a queen headboard. Dead cockroaches on bathroom floor, live baby one on dresser as we set our bag down almost on top of it. Went to wash our hands and the sink drain emptied right onto the floor, we had to put the waste basket under it. The bed sheets were all wrinkled as if they hadn't changed them from the previous guest, also cigarette holes in the bedspread and the room stunk like old cigarettes even though it was a non smoking room. We had to pay extra 25.00 for our small dog and she was cleaner than this room. Our dogs house is cleaner than this room. We arrived late and this was the only room available so we were stuck. We slept in our clothes on a blanket we brought with us on top of the bed that's how filthy it was. Never again will we stay in a Super 8, we will sleep in our car before we ever come back here or use a Super 8 again. FILTHY is the only way to describe this hotel. DO NOT STOP HERE. BEWARE FILTHY

Caution

Reviewed By PJs7267

Typically, I don’t write reviews but this is a cautionary tell. I want everyone who plans to stay at this place to know what there getting into. First of all the room smelled like day old cigarettes. Against my better judgement I stayed anyway because the trip was so quick. We went to sleep to day old cigarettes and woke up to a horror movie. My friend that came with me woke up in pain at 6 in the morning. See had bites all over. We looked down at the bed and there they were bed bugs at the head of her bed. Then I noticed several roaches crawling on the wall. My worst nightmare about traveling had come true. We rushed to get out the room shaking our things and leaving in our pj’s. We got out so fast that I left my brand new watch. We tried to talked with the people on duty but they just said we would need to talk with management. I tried talking with management but either they were in denial about there issues or just didn’t care. There was no apology or ownership of this terrible situation. So my recommendation to anyone planning to stay here is caution you may want to stay elsewhere. I have attached pictures of the bites and bugs from the Knights Inn Columbia SC.

Do Not Stay Here

Reviewed By madiganogreiner

This was the worst stay I’ve ever experienced. The property was littered with trash and dirt and the smell of weed was inescapable. I was first sent to a room that was already occupied. The front desk staff addresses the issue so nonchalantly and made me sign a make shift contract stating I was switched to a new room. After getting to my “non smoking” room I noticed cigarette smoke stains on every surface. The floor was sticky and it reeked. I left immediately. You couldn’t pay me to stay here. Do yourself a favor and book anything else.

Travelers Warning: You won't be the only one staying in your room.

I want to preface this by saying we drove several hours and were extremely exhausted which apparently mushed our brains. Also, it's my belief some good reviews here are completely fake, and God knows the pictures are. So, on our way from MI to N. Myrtle Beach, SC, I called several hours ahead of time to book a room and was quoted a price. We got there after dark. Don't do that. They actually had to 'unlock' the front door to let us in. The man quoted me a price $10 higher because 'they' supposedly rented out our 'reserved' room to someone else. Plus, we got a refridgerator. (Um, yeah, ok.) Anyway, I asked twice to honor the price they originally quoted me. Twice he just shook his head no and then proceeded to tell me I can go somewhere else. Normally, I wouldn't have taken that from any business but I had a major headache. For some idiotic reason, I continued to finish booking. We went up to the 2nd floor, (btw, this motel is NOT wheelchair accessible, the elevators DO NOT work). We were literally in the room for less than 3 minutes. It was absolutely disgusting, seriously filthy, and at minimum a health hazard. It looked like a bug had been smashed on the bedding (if you call it that). Not only did we 'supposedly' pay extra for that refrigerator, but we must of paid extra for the roaches crawling on top of it, too? We went promptly back to the office and asked for a refund. He did so, but a couple of days later, we were only credited for what we were originally quoted: $10 less. I was rested and back to my senses by this time and I called. The asst. manager gave every excuse possible as to why I didn't get my full refund. After a minimum of 45 minutes and 2 callbacks, their computer made the mistake- not them. And apparently, it's absolutely appropriate for them to let a customer reserve a room way ahead of time and they can just rent it out on you, as well as, speak to you rudely. Without apologies, they stated they would refund the rest. I have yet to see it. I'll give it a couple more days due to the holidays. I've owned a rental business for years and frankly, I wish I would have taken pictures. I can't believe they allow this place to stay open- period. I will be writing several formal letters to the necessary authorities to have this motel thoroughly inspected. Do yourself a HUGE favor, do not stay here. Always check the rooms of the motels before you pay for it.
