Completely run down property

The front desk girl was very pleasant and understanding. We booked online, once we got there the property was in terrible condition, run down, checked in, went around to the room. The lot was terrible, the building was was in bad condition, elevator out of service, stairs were very beat up, cracked wobbly, unsafe, room was small and had a strange odor. We left immediately and got a refund, did not stay more than 30 min at this place. No way I would let my family stay here.

Our Haven in the Spring Snow Storm

Reviewed By Mongo8

We spent one night here on our way back home in the east. It's an older motel, but nicely maintained and cleaned. Our room was large with a king bed, two comfortable chairs and a desk/chair station. We were there during the rare spring snow storm, so we didn't avail ourselves of any amenities. Parking is an issue. We were in the rear of the facility and had to angle park. The only way out was to back up a ways to where you could turn around. It is conveniently located to restaurants and the cog railway and Garden of the Gods. It's easy to get to I-25 from here.

Beautiful rooms with GREAT service!

Reviewed By onelnsbt

We checked in after a 10-hour day and we were greeted by Brittany at the front desk - she had a smile, was pleasant, was helpful, was knowledgeable, gave us all the information we needed (such as breakfast hours) and welcomed us with an offer to help us with whatever needed. What more could we ask for when checking in to a hotel?!!! We are Titanium level Marriott (for life) and we DO know good Marriott service! Brittany is the definition of good service. As far as the room, the hotel has been recently renovated and the rooms are beautiful and very comfortable. The breakfast was also very good, with everything being continually replenished. It had good choices of food - with two types of fruit, yogurt, and other healthy items as well as waffles and eggs and sausage and oatmeal. We have stayed here two nights and have one to go. We wish we were staying longer!

Clean, Fair price, excellent customer service

Reviewed By SassySalleen

Upon entry the room looked clean and modern. Their was a fold out couch, desk, Queen sized bed, fridge, microwave, tv, large window with blinds, chest of drawers, and bench/seat. The furnishings were modern and stylish as well as clean! The bathroom was modern and clean as well. I especially liked the shampoo, conditioner and body wash station which was mounted in the shower and refillable by hotel staff! This is great for the environment and helps the hotel keep prices down for guests. I did my normal cleanliness inspection with my white gloves and there was no dust on surfaces. The shower sink and floors were cleaned thoroughly. I love the laminate flooring because it’s great for people with allergies or pets. I have a ADA service dog and no one gave me any grief about her. Even though it’s illegal many places give a hard time &/or refuse them anyway. The window was cleaner than any other hotels I’ve stayed at this year! The air filter has been cleaned before we arrived and after prior customer, which I know because I always take the filter out after unpacking at each and every hotel and almost always the filter is full of dust. That always tells me hope thoroughly the hotel cleaned and follows the cdc’s new Covid protocols!! Since I am high risk if I catch Covid it is important to me to be up to date on cdc, who, and all scientific information on the virus. This is why I comment on the various aspects of cleanliness especially those that affect likelihood of catching Covid. Such as cleanliness of room, air filter cleanliness, type of heating and air conditioning ( central means air moves faster from one room to another thus spreading germs quicker versus room units that pull air from outside into the heat or cooling area then put into the room). This room has the safer room unit that pulls fresh from outside. The window opened albeit only slightly. With Covid upon us it’s better to be able to air your room fully each day as the cdc suggests every room in every home be aired completely each day!! I wasn’t able to watch the cleaning protocol to see if the staff used fans to completely change out the dirty air in the room between guests. This requires fans to do in a timely manner and Windows that open fully help too! The pool was for use by guests in the same room via 45 minutes of time with time between guests left for staff to clean. I didn’t see if staff actually cleaned or not between guests, but the area was pretty much free of touchable surfaces so there wasn’t anything to clean except the towel rack, light switch, and door knob. As always holiday inn staff was professional, helpful, and friendly.

Run down but adequate

Reviewed By Brenda T

Be aware that breakfast is absolutely NOT offered for 9/12 of the year (only during high season that begins after Memorial weekend); they are misrepresenting this location. This location is fairly walkable, but most of the nearby restaurants and stores are on the other side of a very congested four-lane road. Definitely be aware of your surroundings if you venture out after dark; we encountered some very questionable personalities. The motel has definitely seen better days with stains on the walls, cracked floor tile, holes in doors, holes in the bedding and Foul-smelling water. The microwave was badly stained and missing parts. The pool was either nonfunctional or simply hadn't been filled yet despite it being the latter part of May. That being said, the beds are adequate and the staff is friendly and helpful. Housekeeping replaced towels and made the beds daily which was more than we were expecting after finding underclothes from the previous occupants in the middle of the floor when we first arrived.

Find another place seriously

I really don’t have the correct words to describe this motel other than BAD. I am positive I am staying in the same place that people gave this place 4 and 5 stars. The first room we got you could tell that someone had smoked cigars, the owner kindly moved us to another room. You can see outside through the cracks in the door. Carpet is dirty and they still have plastic on the beds. There was a hair ball in our sink the bathroom water pressure was weak and tiles needed replaced. Cable boxes hanging off the wall and could not get back into the room late at night because the dead bolt stopped working. The area looks ok around here but this is a sketchy place. We paid over a 100 a night and we’re wanting to move but due to a motorcycle rally in the area the next best thing was a Motel 6 for 189 a night. Name brand hotels well over 230 a night. This is the last days of our 14 day trip and we have had all good experiences with all of our hotels. Do not stay here unless this is a last resort. I don’t like leaving reviews like this but it’s needed.

I have stayed here a few times the first time it was for two nights. It was great! I loved my room I have now problems with anything. I then came back a month later to stay as a weekly until I could find work in the area and move to another place. It was wonderful I enjoyed it and the owners were awesome to me they are very nice people who care about their costumers. Then I came back due to a lose of my job on the other side of Colorado springs. So far it's been good to be back and the other even picked me up so that I didn't have to pay for a cab. This is In my opinion one of the best places to stay in Colorado period. And I have been to hotel's that are not as nice as this Motel is here in Colorado springs. Today I'm enjoying myself in my room just doing art and eating good food from a nearby restaurant Low Mai it's a great location if you like good food you can just walk to so many different places around the downtown area here or have them delivered in like five minutes due to the proximity. All in all I absolutely love this place! That's right I Love the Travelers uptown motel it a wonderful place to stay! ~Jill~ 2021-12-28.

Very bad smells, both in the elevator and rooms. Very outdated rooms. The lady at the front desk was the only pleasant thing about our stay. The shower seems to be affected when others use the water. There was a man in the lobby sitting at a table counting a stack of $1.00 bills. That was scary.
