I stayed for 2 nights and 2 days. It was very quiet which is very important because I have a 1 year old. I was by myself with my infant daughter and I felt very safe. The lake is right down the ramp and the view is stunning I would recommend anyone to stay here for an extended period of time. The owner Mark was very friendly and accommodating. The room was very spacious and very clean.

I don’t know how this hotel has so many good reviews. This is the filthiest, most cockroach infested hotel I’ve ever stayed in. My father and brother were staying in a room near us and there were roaches in the refrigerator, so they handed me their food to keep in my room’s refrigerator (no guarantee there weren’t any in ours, though). We watched roaches of different sizes and stages of life run along the walls and hide behind the headboard. There were multiple cigarette burns in the sheets. My father’s room smelled like sewage. We were so disgusted, and immediately went downstairs to see about changing rooms, but since we got to town late, the front desk was closed and there was nobody there to help us. Just unbelievable that there are any good reviews. I feel like most of these reviews were written by friends of the staff and owner. Spend a little more and stay somewhere you won’t feel so uncomfortable. It’s not worth it. I added a photo of the bedding and toilet. The roaches were all running too fast to take photos of.

Terrible Experience!

My family of four was in town to participate as exhibitors at the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo. As this is considered the “Super Bowl of stock shows”, we booked two rooms almost two months in advance. I called one week prior to arrival and spoke to Tamisha, who assured me both rooms were booked and would be ready. On the day of arrival, I called again to inquire about the latest possible check in time. The phone rang and rang with no answer, so I hung up and called back about half an hour later. Again, the phone rang and rang, and then switched to what I assume was an automated system. I opted to press 1 for existing reservations and was connected to a man who assured me that we had until 11:00pm to check in. Around 7:00pm (approximately 2-3 hours after my confirmation phone call), a woman from the hotel phoned my husband and basically said a new employee gave our rooms away and we no longer had a room. She also told him that she was having to call 10 other people who had booked rooms, as well. Unbelievable!! Infuriated, my husband left the stock show and our cattle, went to the hotel and demanded a room since we have two small children and no other place to go. Mind you, there was an approaching winter storm (which ended up shutting down the ENTIRE DFW area for two days). There were also no rooms available at any hotel within a 50 mile radius due to the enormous stock show/rodeo crowd. Tamisha was at first rude and accused my husband of threatening her (he did nothing of the sort, but was insistent and refused to leave without the rooms we had booked for two months). She was able to get us a single room for one night and then told him to come back at 7:00am to speak with the manager who would make everything right. We went to the room, which was absolutely disgusting. Stains all over the carpet, fishy smell, counters/table greasy and looked as though they haven’t been cleaned in weeks. My young kids had to sleep on the floor with pillows/blankets we brought from home. Jump to the morning, when I went and waited in the lobby beginning at 6:45. The manager did NOT show up at 7:00, as promised. It was almost 7:30 before she ever came in. The overnight clerk at the desk was absolutely clueless about what had transported the night before and was zero help in explaining to the manager the situation. Long story short....the manager, Altria, at first seemed as though she was not going to be able to get us a room and had somewhat of a “sorry ‘bout your bad luck” attitude. She blamed it on ESA’s use of some internet booking system that was out of her control. With much persistence from me, the manger finally made some changes and was able to get me one double bed room. This room was somewhat better than the first room, but not by much. I’d like to add that my family is not high maintenance when it comes to accommodations. We are cattle ranchers who don’t expect a red carpet rolled out or a 5 star experience. We needed a room close to the stock show grounds, which is what we got; However, we definitely got what we paid for. Interesting side note: one of our Uber drivers explained to us that in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, ESA is known as the an apartment complex for sketchy folks. She went on to tell us that ESA is notorious in the area for housing crackheads, prostitutes and the like. While this motel was inexpensive for our 5 day stay, we will NEVER book another room with Extended Stay America ever again!!

There were plenty of advanced trails which we avoided! What a beautiful park and lake. This is definitely a fun area to explore

The floor was wet all the way from entrance door to bathroom. The phone did not work No, the dog did not potty on the floor. We took the dog to the back where the grass was, and during the night, there were men in the back drinking beer and sleeping in the car. About 4 of them in different cars. Could not sleep because people slamming doors and it seemed like they were arguing or talking loud most of the night. The sheets and towels appeared to be clean. No receipt. The mattress was ok.
