A beautiful hotel in a lovely location
Reviewed By Maggie PWe visited this hotel on our trip through France, we received a warm welcome. The room was large and very clean, the bed was very comfortable and the shower was powerful. If you visit be sure to have dinner there, the food was excellent and very good value at 22 euro for 3 courses.

Reviewed By AlmapbNo pudimos ir por inundaciones y circunstancias metereológicas excepcionales. Viajar a Bayona estaba desaconsejado. No nos daban opción de ir en otra fecha. Las comunicaciones mal. Escribimos para cancelarlo y no hubo respuesta. Previamente nos dijeron que si lo alquilaban nos dejaban ir otro día. Ya, lo van a alquilar con una ciudad medio inundada. Anda ya. Y cómo sé yo si lo han alquilado o no. Para cuando se levantó la alerta roja no podíamos ir. Estábamos lejos. Deberían tener otra consideración cuando se trata de algo externo que ha provocado no poder ir. Conclusión: se podría conseguir que te reembolsaran el dinero o que te ofrecieran otro día ya que como consumidores tenemos ese derecho cuando se trata de una situación de alerta. Pero qué ganas...NUNCA HAY QUE COGER NADA QUE NO TENGA CANCELACIÓN GRATUITA. NO HAY QUE PAGAR NUNCA NADA POR ADELANTADO SIN POSIBILIDAD DE REEMBOLSO. TE LA JUEGAS Y SIEMPRE PUEDE HABER ALGO QUE NO ESPERES Y PIERDAS EL DINERO.

Lovely stay
Reviewed By gemma_cadman41Very basic accommodation but very friendly staff and a great entertainment team. The kids club was very lovely too. The buffet food is fine, nothing special but enough choice. The indoor pool is quite small but the children had fun in it. Great location, within walking distance of the beach.

Reviewed By Karen LWe stayed here one night. Friendly help from Pantxika who helped us up the stairs (no elevator!) with our luggage and gave us excellent restaurant suggestions. The towels could use a refresh -- my only "ding".

Reviewed By charente17Really lovely staff, happy, friendly and always willing to help - excellent. Food very basic but ok and staff willing to try and accommodate special needs. Rooms differ - be aware that this centre caters for groups of teenagers - rules of the establishment are adhered to and all is usually quiet after 10pm Some rooms are beyond basic with only a bed!! Others have television and other furniture. Many rooms have bathrooms shared between two rooms. Swimming pool padlocked during our stay which was a shame as it looked so inviting. Setting above the town gives great views over the bay. Limited parking on site. Suitable for hostel type accommodation particularly for the young. My bathroom had a horrible smell from ? drains. Rooms supplied with a dustpan and brush for guest to clean room. Wifi unstable but good when it worked.

Reviewed By Dreamer756184There was no internet connection on the room. There was only one small bottle of shower gel, although the reservation was for 2 people. There were only ligh sheets on the bed when we arrived. I found out later the blankets hidden on the wardrobe. The courtains were very light and bright and people that were passing by could see everything from the outside as the room is on the groundfloor. No privacy at all. Besides that, the outside are looks very nice and tidy.

Ideal location for starting the Camino. Very peaceful and quiet.
Reviewed By SusanMThis is a superb location for anyone starting the Camino walk from St. Jean to Ronscevalles. It's on the route, a couple of km outside St. Jean, so you've a good start in the morning and a little part of that initial steep climb done. We booked one of the twin rooms and it was ideal with its own private bathroom too. It's so peaceful so you're assured of a good night's rest. We felt very welcome when we arrived and were given a welcome drink as soon as we'd settled in.
