Boasting Medieval fortresses, Roman aqueducts, Mediterranean coastline, endless vineyards and expansive national parks, a visitor could spend a lifetime exploring sunny Languedoc-Rousillon. Sitting on the geographic divide between the Iberian peninsula and mainland Europe, the regions towns and cities, including beautiful Carcassonne, Nimes and Montpellier, are connected by paths both ancient and new. Great stay

On our trip to spain we used this as our stop-over hotel. It's a bit remote from the motorway, but well worth the 10 extra minutes you spend getting there. Friendly reception, nice rooms given the price range, ok breakfast, pool etc. We also had the three course diner which is priced very competitively. Do watch out for the combination of the main course you choose (meat or fish) with the complements as those are the same for both and sometimes the combination is awkward (gambas with à la placha with 'pommes dauphine', not my taste) We returned on our way back and spend a day walking in the beautiful region.

The Perfect Stay

The hotel oozes luxury and class all around. Even in these difficult COVID times perfection is still the norm. Of the +/- 10 hotels we stayed in during our 3 weeks trip through France, this was by far the best. Spacious and luxourious rooms , tastefully decorated. I can rave on about the comfy beds, the perfect AC, the sheets, the copious breakfast (served on the terrace of your room). The hotel is located about a 10 minutes walk from la cité (the medeiaval part of Carcassonne) If it's not too crowded you can even use the swimming pool of the other Franck Putelat hotel. The restauant at the hotel was closed during our 2 nights stay but if we ever go back to the region I wouldn't doubt a second about booking this hotel again.

Chez les Amis

Here we are, Magnus and Outi Karlsson. We are the a couple who made our dreams come true, by leaving Sweden with all friends, family and work and opened a bed and breakfast in a little village in Languedoc, south France. Saint Nazaire de Ladarez is a little village with wine growers like the other villages in this area. It is only 30 minutes from the Mediterranean Sea with miles of sandy beaches. We offer five double rooms in our house and ine appartement , All of them are ensuite. We have a restaurant in the old wine cellar, where Outi cook her own style cooking mixed with the French flavor. The area offers everything from relaxation to sports. Kayaking, wine tasting, biking, hiking, golfing and motorbiking. Well, this list can go to any lengths, it is only your imagination which sets the limit. You made our dream come true and made us convinced to keep on with this.

Spent five days here while harvesting at Domaine la Lauzeta last week.

You will be made very welcome here, Magnus and Outi looked after me so well including getting breakfast ready for 6.30 each morning! I have eaten dinner here in the past and the food was delicious. The garden is a restful place at the end of a busy day too.

A quiet oasis with massive rooms and great breakfast

Reviewed By TimT466

The location is a couple of minutes walk away from the beachfront but it is well worth the walk. We are hiking the Vermillion Coast and have been looking for the best hotels each night. This is a standout. It is not really a room - it is an apartment. It is old fashioned but the welcome is great, the hosts super helpful and the breakfast wonderful. We wished we had planned for a 2 night stay.

Le Prieure d'Orniols, gites et chambres d'hotes

In the heart of the Cèze Valley, the Prieuré d'Orniols is nestled between fields of lavender, vines, olive trees and holm oaks. It is located in the hamlet of La Bastide in Goudargues, a lively Provençal village. This 16th century stone building has been completely renovated and transformed into a guest house. It has kept its charm and authenticity. Swimming pool, garden, inner courtyard, terrace, patio, table d'hôtes,..., the relaxation areas are numerous. Lovers of old stones and nature can stay in a guest room or gîte. The Priory is ideally located to discover the historical and tourist sites of the region (Avignon, the Pont du Gard, the Aven d'Orgnac, the Chauvet cave, the Gorges de l'Ardèche), without forgetting the typical villages of the surroundings (Aiguèze, Montclus, La Roque sur Cèze), as well as the local cuisine.

Work trip and trainning

Reviewed By Eudoxio B

I've stayed in Le Lazaret for 2 weeks during a work trip. I was doing a training related to my work. I liked it very much. It was good for staying. There are good confortable spaced bedrooms. There are good rooms for meetings. It is next to the beach and there is an direct acess to this. The breakfast is good... the lunch and dinner, despite the difference between it and Brazil's culinary, is ok. I recommend it.

Third time for us!

Reviewed By 30candc

Knowing what to expect probably helps and so we found checking-in a simple process. Processing at the main entrance was fast and efficient not least as Alicia had warned them of our arrival. We then settled our outstanding balance with Riads and headed for our mini apartment in Port Venus. We prefer to have our room in a quiet location and it had all been recently refurbished. Not that we bothered, but we could have easily self-catered. Breakfast thankfully goes on until 12am so our late nights could have equally late starts. We also enjoyed sitting at one of the larger tables as it was a good way to compare notes with others, or just to meet other like-minded couples who enjoy the swinging lifestyle. And if you feel the need to go further, then the evening parties and music were serious fun! Sure, you can stay in cheaper places or self cater, but Riads is really worth a try.
