This hotel is private own and managed. My room was very small and some noisy, but clean. The “mother” that was there when I arrived do not speak English at all, which caused some problems, but we solved it finally. The son speaks very well English, but he is not there all the time. Breakfast is some limited, but at a very high quality. The bead was uuummmmmmmmy. Just fantastic. There are a few nice dinner restaurants in the village nearby within walking distance. The staff were friendly and helpful, and I would like to come back.

We stayed here one night en route from a family holiday in Corsica choosing it for closeness to Nice airport. Hotel made a down-at-heel first impression but was clean with all facilities (wifi, aircon etc). Easy access to Nice via 200 bus which stops just outside (but very packed on a Sunday: no space for much luggage if going to Airport. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was 8 euros extra per person but tasty. Hotel is small and family run, but late check in was no problem. Suburb of St Laurent is a bit featureless and cut in two by railway line (SNCF station within walking distance of hotel) but there is quite a nice beach with a view of the bay.

The 3 nights we had in the guesthouse were thoroughly enjoyable. Vanessa and her husband were extremely warm and welcoming, with great suggestions for places to eat and visit. A hamper arrived outside our door each morning with fresh bread, brioche, jams and flasks of hot coffee & tea. The setting is idillic and there is a wonderful fruit and veg shop just up the road. Castellane is around a 25 minute drive away but the scenery on the journey is beautiful.

Very quiet and located at the rear of the loveliest courtyard in bloom in Nice's center. All the apartments offer their comfort with all the equipments and air conditioning. Easily accessible, so a car is not indispensable. Nearby all amenities, you will hesitate between staying in the studio to relax, enjoying the pleasures of the beach and the seaside walks or discovering the region of Nice.

My wife and I spent a wonderful night hosted by Pauline and Christophe Billau "la gastronomie en altitude" was an understatement. Our welcome was warm, the rooms exceptional and the meal prepared by Christophe was creative and a taste sensation, all this perched on top of the world. If you are looking for something very special visit Auberge Quintessence for a night or two.
