Best Place to Stay for Mount Fuji View
Reviewed By AntonWidodoPerfect place to stay for photographer of videographer alike who wants convenience of viewing Mt Fuji. You just need to cross the street and Mount Fuji is visible clearly. On top of that, the shuttle bus (red line) will also alight you right in front of the property, convenient! However, if you are particular about upkeep, amenities - then this is not what the property is offering. During our stay, I had to deal with insects, giant moth and spiders. The bed arrangement doesn't smell and look like the most hygienic too. In conclusion, the place is old - but the only motivation to stay here is the view of Mount Fuji!

Reviewed By jacquelinevtrThis is more like a shared house than a hotel. Lots of character and a comfortable place to stay. We stayed in one of the double rooms. Clever storage, comfortable bed, kitchenette, private bathroom (half-size bath), small balcony and a washing machine. The shared space is quirkily kitted out as an indoor campsite and there is space to sit and work or just be both inside and out. Staff is very friendly. Take care not to arrive before 10.30 as there are no staff on duty until then. There is a convenience store within a few minutes walk, and the subway station a few minutes walk in the opposite direction making central Hamamatsu just 15 minutes away. We will definitely stay here again.

Great option in Kamikochi
Reviewed By travelmomABCStayed 1 night here to have more time to enjoy Kamikochi. Setting was perfect, right at Kappabashi bridge, a short walk from the bus terminal. Our Japanese style tatami room was clean and comfortable. Fantastic buffet dinner and breakfast included in the rate. The shared Japanese style bath did not get too crowded during our stay. However I did not get a restful sleep since we could hear the continuous sound of howling wind throughout the night. We visited in July, and not sure if we came at a particularly windy time.

Lovely place
Reviewed By DorothyCheongMy family of four of us stayed in this lovely, clean and comfortable place. It reminded me of motels in Australia and New Zealand. It has 2 large beds, comfortable for my family with 2 teenage sons. The reception is well decorated with the concept of pooh bear and his friends. Free breakfast of bread and drinks like orange juice/coffee/tea are being provided for guests where we can eat at the reception or bring them to our rooms. Owner and his wife are very helpful and friendly. K convenience store is just across the road. We chose this lodge because it is near to Nabana no sato winter illumination. Bookings is done through emailing to the lodge within 3 months and paying through paypal. Discovered Hatagoya has many lodges throughout Japan except Hokkaido.

Great customer service shines when things go wrong
Reviewed By W9089EAsandracWith great disappointment we recently had to cancel our long awaited holiday to Japan for my 50th birthday in April 2020, due to trouble with the coronavirus. I have one bad lung and very prone to pneumonia. MOJO Lodge very graciously allowed us to cancel our 10 day booking with no cancellation fees. Customer Service like this is very rare these days. It is when things go wrong rather than right - when good Customer service shines, and is greatly appreciated. Thank you MOJO Lodge.

Great hotel
Reviewed By Yianni44Stayed one night in this new hotel and the staff were fantastic. Absolutely helpful in every way from entrance to the point of even driving us to the station when no taxi was available and it was raining. The family room we stayed in was very spacious and had the most amazing view of Mt Fuji. For the cheap price I highly recommend this and would stay again. Only negative is the semi detached location but only a short 5 minute walk to the lake.

Reviewed By Niño RGood -Rooms are clean -Location is very convenient for those going to FujiQ Highland as a bus stop that services the FujiQ route is nearby. -No need to cook as you can visit the multiple stores very near the villa, the Steakhouse near it unfortunately is closing down on 3/25 but there are other restaurants on the main street. -Private onsen on each unit is very nice, you could relax after a long day of having fun at FujiQ -Parking is adequate Not too good -Sound insulation could be improved; these are multiple units that are stuck together and you have to be mindful of the noise you make at night. -Bathroom water temperature is hard to adjust

Fantastic stay
Reviewed By Nikki74-12We had a great stay - 2 adults and 5 teen boys. Everything was provided - comfortable bedding, towels, washing machine. The kitchen was well stocked with plenty of dishware and cutlery, pots and pans. Comfortable living areas with space. Only downside was paying additional daily rate for a charcoal bbq. Fly screens on windows was a big plus! Plenty of ventilation with windows and fans and located under trees which helps keep the chalet cool enough in summer. Located on a Quiet lane.
