Hotel on Lake Constance for Handicapped
Reviewed By Jim0This is a new hotel. Each room has a huge bathroom that you can drive into and clean up or shower. Our room has a balcony that you can see the hills and forest around Berlingen. Unfortunately not to the lake. The town is old and the streets narrow. Sometimes the sidewalk is so narrow, that a wheel chair has to go into the street. Several of the stores have died in recent times and there are no grocery stores. But there good points it too ! A lovely park on the lake. Several restaurants and an excellant bakery. There is a boat that comes in here and is possible to get on them with wheelchair. The lake is sometimes high and sometimes low: it was low when we got on it and the ramp quite tilted, however two sailors from the ship came quickly to help. Several other handicapped were also on the ship. Nice trip from Berlingen down the Rhine to Schaffhausen or up to the lake to Constance. Very nice trip. We went to Constance, which is a beautiful city and one can get around easily enough. Good shopping. We went back to Berlingen on the Turbo (train) which is also level to the ground and a wheelchair can get on and off. This goes to St. Gallen or Schaffhausen and into Germany to Singen. (Trains to Zurich have steps and conductors weren’t helpful). So we waited for the Turbo, which comes every half hour. When you get off in Berlingen it is easy to get to the hotel with your wheelchair.

Good room on Lake Constance but lot of noise
Reviewed By PairADoxCycleStaff really nice , friendly and helpful plus room clean and bright . 75 meters from Lake but a lot of street noise and people noise from adjacent street plus restaurant and bar . Appears that moderation of voices is not practiced in this area . Loud !! Restaurant was pleasant and food was good but not spectacular. Breakfast average and basic with nothing to rave about . Close to bike trail around the lake with adequate bike storage .

Immer einen Halt wert
Reviewed By GianniBaigueraWir machen seit mehreren Jahren immer wieder gerne halt im "Seestern". Das Restaurant befindet sich praktisch direkt am See. Nur die Hauptstrasse liegt dazwischen, welche zwar je nach Saison lebhaft ist, aber nicht störend wirkt. Das Personal ist unaufdringlich und sehr freundlich. Das Essen ist sehr gut und reichlich. Gut schmecken tun uns Schnippo (mit selbstgemachter Panade und sehr leckeren Pommes Frites), der gegrillte Lachs mit Fitnessteller und vor allem auch die Chnusperli.

Reviewed By Kama478Hotel situato in zona tattica se si vuole visitare i dintorni (San Gallo, Appenzello, Lago di Costanza ecc.). welcome drink all arrivo, utilizzabile anche per cena se ci si ferma al loro ristorante messicano. Camere/ appartamento molto spaziose adatto a famiglie con piu figli, culla a disposizione gratuitamente, dotate di cucina con utensili base, bagno con asciugamani, asciugacapelli, saponette e doccia schiuma di cortesia, coperte e cuscini ok, te e caffé solubile con bollitore a disposizione. Difetti: non c é aria condizionata e la pulizia ok in generale ma non accurata, polvere sotto il letto. Personale giovane molto cordiale, ci siam trovati bene

Central location, perfect for what we needed
Reviewed By mrsk1ngThe hotel is clean & in a great location for the village. Walking distance to everything. The staff in the bar/restaurant are amazing & super accommodating. The food is lovely we had breakfast & an evening meal here 1 night. Everyone’s meals were lovely. For what we needed this hotel was perfect & I would definitely recommend it.

Einfach, sauber und günstig
Reviewed By bherrmann1965Kurzfristig ein Zimmer mit Etagendusche und WC gebucht. Alles war sauber. Ein reichhaltiges Frühstück wurde direkt auf dem Tisch angerichtet und der Chef persönlich machte Spiegelei mit Speck. Für mich ein idealer Gasthof, wenn man einfach und günstig übernachten möchte.
