What a fantastic experience. Took my now fiancée Yuliya on a 3 night Mulberry Lodge / heli-swag adventure for a surprise proposal. Hazel and Nic were outstanding. Nothing was too much trouble. They went above and beyond to help deliver the best most romantic experience. Thank you all so much for perfect memories for a lifetime. Oh and their Guest App was a fantastic way of enjoying all that the experience has to offer. Well done. ❤️

Worth Staying at the Grape and Olive

Reviewed By Rod S

Booked a group of 10 friends into Grape and Olive in Nov 21 and it was just perfect for our stay. Rachel was so accomodating and organised a bus driver to take us around the breweries and wineries of McLaren Vale in our mini bus, as we did not want to drive. Rachel and her Dad both sourced places to go and her Dad drove the bus, for a small cash donation. Can thoroughly recommend staying her and if you need a driver, ask Rachel, as her Dad does a great job. This is a must consider place to stay if you are wanting to stay in Willunga.

The Farm Willunga

Fun and comfort

Reviewed By Andy K

We stayed for four nights in the most comfortable bed and apartment. This was the Vine Romance suite with great views of the olives, vines, sheep, ducks and native birds. The view to the sea allows for great sunsets. The location is central to the coast, nature reserves, and the wine region of McLaren Vale. The hosts were most helpful when we lost our Key! Breakfast in the café was excellent and included, along with a bottle of wine, olive oil, port. This was a great stay, we will be back :)

Charming House, Great Breakfast

Reviewed By TraceyLea2013

We were welcomed at Willunga House by our hosts and found them to be very nice. The room was spacious, the bathroom adequate and spotlessly clean throughout. Our room at the front was bright and the bed comfortable, a little on the firm side. There was no mini fridge in the room however a larger fridge was available at the end of the hallway, a kitchen is also available for any cooking you may wish to do. The lounge area was spacious and comfortable with an adjoining balcony that was a lovely space to have our afternoon drinks. The main street can be viewed from the balcony and it is easy to walk to the main shopping area and the hotel for a meal. The rear garden and side garden was filled with fruit trees and beautiful flowers. The breakfast consisted of cereals, fruit, yoghurt and juice followed by a lovely cooked breakfast of your choice, it was delicious. I would stay at Willing House again.

Could always linger a little bit longer

Wowee! We were attending a wedding at Fleurieu Cherries nearby and decided to make a long weekend out of it, and boy am I glad we did! Linger Longer was the perfect home away from home for our mother/daughter trip. We stayed in the Ochre cottage which is towards the back of the property. Before we even arrived we received some very clear and easy directions and instructions on accessing the home. Rosemary kept in touch in the days leading up to our stay. On arrival we were pleasantly surprised with the air-conditioning running, a gift of local Fruchocs and a bottle of the family made wine. We were also provided tea, coffee, sugar, bottle of fresh milk and water, and apples grown on site. The amenities are great. The bed and the pull-out sofa are both very comfortable. We were pleasantly surprised about how warm the home was at night, which made for very comfortable and deep sleeps! The kitchen is spacious and has all the essentials that you need if you wanted to cook at home. Rosemary and Rick both checked on us, the first night to make sure everything was OK and the next day to let us know they were going to do some picking of the vineyard the next day. This was honestly the perfect home base. It is very central. Every where we wanted to explore was 10-15minutes in either direction. And then we could come home and relax. Hot tip if you're driving at night, Linger Longer is just under a street light, it was a great signpost when we were on our way home at night. The coffee shop, Flower Cellar Door, about 300m around the corner was great to grab a morning coffee. If you get stuck for ideas on what to do or eat, the handy guide provided definitely gave us the perfect recommendation to grab a take away Italian pizza (Sicily Mare) to sit out the front of the cottage and enjoy the wine at sunset. Thank you Rosemary! We cannot rave enough about our stay. We will definitely be coming back here should we find ourselves in McLaren Vale again.

Bed and breakfast

We were very disappointed with our accommodation because we were allocated an "overflow" room, not a Cottage Room

Reviewed By E936NJkevinc

We booked and paid for a Cottage Room which looked very impressive on the website and on a physical inspection. However because the 2 Cottage Rooms were already occupied, we were accommodated in a small motel style room attached to the owners' house. The facilities in this room were not a patch on the Cottage Rooms and the room was at best a $100 a night room. When we complained to the owner about him misrepresenting this room as a Cottage Room, he was abusive and slammed the door in our face. Our advice is "Make sure you have been allocated to a Cottage Room, or give it a miss".
