Reviewed By GenevaTravelersVery nice hotel with a wonderful location on the lake shore. Rooms are well fitted with large balcony and the private beach is really pleasant. Nevertheless better attention should be given in the room maintenance. Unfortunately the restaurant quality is not matching the location. Portions are small, pizza are not crispy and spritz are over diluted.

Family run hotel and hospitality, modern comfort, delightful Swiss and International cuisine as well as different well feeling and health offers. The hotel is located on the sunny side of Lake Lucerne - "Riviera of Central Switzerland", with a wonderful view of the mountains and the lake. On account of the extremely mild climate Weggis is also called the "Rose village" where palm trees, figs, chestnuts and even kiwi grow. Your holiday dream awaits you. Doing nothing, enjoying life, getting active or whatever you wish. The philosophy of our hotel is: "We welcome you as a guest but you leave us as a friend."
Lovely location shame about the service & old rooms
Reviewed By baselgirl_1000Lovely location with stunning views and a great heated outdoor pool. Great to go with kids as the pool is open for kids (no special hours). They is a playground behind the hotel and a small one with a trampoline at the adjoining hotel. We had the family suite - it was a very good size with two bathrooms and enough room for us all. It is a bit dated especially the bathrooms. Service is very mixed especially in the restaurant. Waitresses were in general great. Unfortunately our waiter was fairly rude and inefficient. The unfriendly service plus the older rooms mean that despite the location we wouldn’t recommend it.

Looks good but lacks substance and poorly run
Reviewed By 106adamyBeware - this hotel is going through a transition period. Hotel management also does not speak english. Dinner service lasted 3 hrs. Ignored by waitstaff (45minutes for water). No menu concept would have worked had the waiter actually explained what dishes were on the menu for the evening. We were served raw meat. After experiencing food poisoning the next day we contacted the hotel management only to be dismissed and offered a voucher (useless considering we don't live in that country). The staff admitted to being understaffed and hotel management mentioned that they were still adjusting to a new "creative" direction from their parent company. Other warning signs were that the hotel seemed to occupy several floors in an old condo building and the black out curtain were not measured properly and did not fit the window.

Reviewed By tjfclilyThe view from the hotel, over the lake and onto the mountains, is absolutely breathtaking - totally another world. Weggis is very quiet. The hotel itself is extremely welcoming. The staff are all so friendly, and efficient. The reception staff were extremely helpful. Our room was spacious and very light. As I have previously said the view out over the lake is absolutely breathtaking. The Grande Salle for breakfast was very light. You could also eat on the residents' terrace, weather permitting. The restaurant in the Wintergarden was very special. Again you could eat outside on the terrace. We have already booked to go back later in the year. S0, yes, we would definitely recommend this hotel

The views, well, looking out over the lake and mountain in the distance - incredible. Location very good, taking a boat to the hotel is quite cool. And the food is top. I recommend a stay here

terrible service - great food
Reviewed By simso2014We ate there today. The location is wonderful and the food (fish) was delicious! The waitress (Patricia) was very unfriendly and rushed us! Also, after the main course she came and wanted us to pay because she was obviousely goin on break! Wow!None of us was gonna order dessert...which seemed to be a bummer - the dessert choice looked fabulous! But how would we dare to order...it would only cost the lady her time on break. Unbelievable!!! Some ppl just dont like to work anymore! Way to go!!!

A beautiful place to recharge your energies

The hotel is beautifully furnished, and has an amazing view of the Vierwaldstättersee and its surrounding mountains. The beds are very comfortable, and the rooms are very well equipped. The breakfast buffet is a treat, with a great selection of cheese, cold cuts and bread, fresh juices, and hot food (Eggs and bacon, anyone?). My favorite part of breakfast was making my own waffle and enjoying it warm with some fresh coffee. On the rainy days, we have enjoyed the spa facilities. The heated pool and the relaxation room with the Himalayan salt wall are great for relaxing and taking some time for yourself. On top of all, the Hotel staff is very welcoming and always ready to help.

Also loved the decorations with old posters of Rigi and the region's attractions + the location with restaurants and cafés closeby as well as the boat stop and places to have a dip in the lake when it was hot. Higly recommend this place!
