Had a fantastic stay at Hattvika Lodge, we booked the Myklebustbua #4 which sits on the edge of the Dock offering a nice view. Kristian and his wife Guri we're excellent in recommending things to do and ensuring we have everything we need! I must recommend the Kayak experience, was a big highlight given the perfect weather and the person which took us (sorry i dont remember his name) was fun and helpful to have around. We also highly appreciated being given the hottub all day free of charge, thank you Kristian!

Worth the stay!

Reviewed By breebree94

Really wonderful and cozy! The whole atmosphere is very warm and cozy, feels like home ! With a great common area and small cafe, you feel right at home. We had a private apartment, great size and had everything we needed. Only downside was that it was absolutely freezing despite using the heaters. Unfortunately sauna access is not included in the price (50€ for a 2 person use) (we booked via booking and it mentioned that there was a sauna).

Central, but not great!

Reviewed By GillianH52

This hotel is in serious need of an upgrade. The rooms have been modernised, but the hotel is generally run down. The location is central, but not very scenic. The staff are friendly, but need some service training. My dinner was the one redeeming factor, the grilled stock fish was excellent!

Statles Rorbu- og Konferansesenter

You find our hotel resort in the heart of the Lofoten Islands, in picturesque Mortsund harbor. In a place where fishermen once spent the season in rorbuer built at the water’s edge you will treat yourself to a truly authentic Lofoten experience. Our cabins offer up to three bedrooms and feature ensuite bathrooms and kitchenettes. Ask for a private balcony. You can catch your meal right at your doorsteps or book dinner at our restaurant. Mt. Middagstinden waits for you to enjoy the sensational view over our bay. Leknes airport is within reach, and so is the Hurtigruten stop at Stamsund harbor (20 minutes each). Popular destinations on the Vestvågøy island – such as the Haukland and Unstad beaches, Mt. Skottinden or the Viking Museum are just a stone’s throw away.

Amazing location by Vestfjorden

Reviewed By Summer_angel04

Statles Rorbuer are newly built flats, basically, with a great location around 20 mins drive from Leknes. Great area for hiking, fishing and the general Lofoten experience. We had a great rorbu with outdoor seating, two bedrooms, two baths and a living room with a kitchen section. A bit surprising that they only provide 4 glasses, 4 plates etc - means you will need to do dishes or run the dishwasher if you stay more than one night. But everything was clean and check-in fast.

Selling rorbu as Solsiden brygge at other location

My extended family went last week to Ballstad and Solsiden brygge for a rorbu vacation. One of the purpose was to be United at the same premeses/ location. During the check in the staff started to explain how to find our rorbu by car in a another part of Ballstad. I said this is a mistake. We have order a rorbu at Solsiden brygge, then the staff explained how impresis and how limited information i had been through as a preperation. In addition i had also been order through Booking.com and then i was responsible for everything by myself. I didn’t understand Solsiden brygge was some kind of a Airbnb aggregator i Ballstad. If I was aware of that i would used another company or order direct in Airbnb myself. I informed the Owner how dissatisfied i was and they offer us a hot tub for the evening.as a compensation. This is the reason way the rating not ended with 1

Live Lofoten Hotel

Hotel wasn’t Nearly ready to receive us....

Reviewed By paulgL5442IE

We visited in late May 2019. On arrival, a typed note was on the locked door (4:30 pm) to call a phone number (no answer). 2nd paragraph indicated if we could reach no one, to proceed to the local bar 300 yards away (no specific directions) and inquire to the bartender to receive a key. We proceeded there and no record of our reservation was found. That said, the staff at the bar was most accommodating, and we were quickly on our way back to the hotel. A special key gained us entry to one of the three locked doors. At No time during our stay was there ever an answer on the 24 hour (“call us any time for anything you need “) phone line. The room was clean, if small, but was exceedingly hot. There seems to be no way to regulate the temperature and the controls in the room were turned to zero. The in-room heat was off, so we we had no idea where the excessive heat might have been coming from. There was one partial-opening window, and in spite of the outdoor temperature being only 6° we spent a good deal of our time to warm in the room. There appeared to be only four or five other guests in the hotel at this particular time of year. Cleaners forgot to clean our room during our 2-night stay. Given the small number of guests, breakfast was less than ideal. We have enjoyed nothing but amazing breakfasts throughout our stay in Norway but this hotel was the exception. Small individual breakfasts in styrofoam containers awaited each guest in the morning. One hard boiled cold egg. Less than ideal ....needless to say. Even a toaster was not to be found. Our sense was this hotel was not nearly ready to receive guests and should have remained closed until they were prepared. We were completely underwhelmed. Perhaps they are more accommodating during the busy season.

DISAPPOINTED!

Reviewed By Wogstad

King Crab astronomical expensive. We had starters King Crab for 2, dessert and coffee. Ended up paying kr. 5000 with tips. The food was good, waiters were friendly, but the final price ruined the visit. I understand the price has to be a minimum and in accordance with market price, doubt the market price was anything near the restaurant price though. Never again!
