We loved it

Lovely location On first impressions we felt it was a little rough round the edges but to be honest it had a relaxed charm ( in a good way) that grew on us , We really warm to this hotel it was memorable for all the right reasons. the staff were amazing from the people that made up the rooms to the reception staff they couldn’t be more helpful And welcoming. The breakfast was great we were half-board and the dinner service was very very good three course evening meals and the buffets were faultless. We had a mountain view which was stunning ! This is practically on the doorstep of the ski centre and the slopes just a short walk where there are lockers which saves you bringing your skis back to the hotel every day. In terms of skiing I’ve seen that a couple of people have complained. In fairness this is a beginners paradise our children enjoyed the ski school and we got really good tuition from the instructors. It’s mainly green and red runs. Not a great deal of variety although there are some black runs across the valley a short bus ride away. If you’re learning to ski this is your place or if you’re a Newby to skiing. Be careful if you wear your ski boots in the foyer of the hotel in the week we were there I saw quite a few people fall .

Nice views of the mountains from the veranda, although also the camping grounds with the snowed down campers. Appartments fairly well equipped with a dishwasher, a fridge, a small freezer and electric stoves that keeps you warm. The bathroom had seen better days, but the floor was warm. By the way, beware of the frying pan, the handle gets as hot as the pan!! It was nice enough the first night, but then the vacant flat next door became filled up, and guess if we could hear them. Had the jokes been better we could have laughed with them. It was disturbing as .... Ski tracks were prepped, but due to the warm spell followed by freezing temps they were hard and icy. Nature is impressive. Will take a driveby in the summer. Never stay here again though.

Not good at all

Reviewed By krissv

Stayed here only for one night thankfully, passing through Beitostølen. We got a room on the other side of the street, in worn down building. My room was directly above the Peppes pizza and their terrace, creating a lot of noise quite late. The room was quite small and cramped, not very good lighting either. All tough they had put in an extra floor lamp, but not connected and not sockets anywhere close. The entrance was quite weird too, with a big bean going right across the hallway at the height of my forehead.

Nice location, avoid stopping for food

Reviewed By CecilieL4

I haven't stayed there, just stopped for food (dinner) while crossing the mountains which was a big mistake. So I can't review the hotel itself, but avoid stopping for a meal at all costs. It used to be good several years ago but has declined awfully since. Rømmegrøt and gulasj were almost uneatable.
