Decided to stay at Cronulla as it is an easy drive from Sydney Airport before we head off to South Coast of Sydney. Studio Apartment was of good size for two pax with a balcony. Room was clean and check in was fast and staff were friendly. Hotel is just opposite Cronulla Beach (which we could not go due to rainy weather) and within walking distance to Cronulla Street where shops/eateries are located.

I always enjoy staying at Rydges Cronulla Beachside, even though it is really out of my budget range. I had a studio room, would have loved to have a beach view room, but was way beyond what I could afford this time.... Rooms are always clean and comfortable, staff are great and enjoyed some time in the restaurant area for the music with a delicious meal and yummy cocktails. Had a good breakfast too. Such a handy location.

A great place to stay

Reviewed By waynebK9533BN

We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 day stay. The accommodation was excellent (bed very comfortable), staff were very helpful and the bistro food delicious. We are from regional NSW and were a little worried about "pub accommodation", but from the moment we arrive all the worries disappeared and will happily stay here again .

Cockroach heaven

Reviewed By jackrea

I booked the wrong date through Booking.com, which 2 mins after I realised I rang them , they allowed me to change dates, but come on guys, I couldn’t even have a shower as it was filled with cockroaches on steroids! Absolutely disgusting! I closed the bathroom door and laid the towel along the bottom of door to try and keep them in there. Hence, no sleep worrying they would escape and crawl over me in bed. Went to Reception at 8.30am to advise, sign says open at 8.00am, still locked up. Saw housekeeping doing a room so told them, and showed them my photos. No call from Motel apologising. As we are Motel managers , we know you should supply CLEAN rooms, good beds and definitely a great shower. The grounds need a good clean up too, used to look decent years ago, looks so run down now.

Would not ever recommend this Motel

Reviewed By Kurrajongfam

Arrived late after being at a competition, we did inform the management of this situation though ! After a checking which took forever and with two tired little kids girls we drove in trying to look for a parking spot as well as our room . They are all dimly lit , near impossible to make our room numbers on the doors . The carpark was full and our spot was taken up by another patron who thought it was fair to take his own parking space as well as ours with his boat ! What spots that were still available we wouldn’t have gotten our car into . Went back up and pressed the intercom for help , to be told that’s not their responsibility they don’t guarantee you a spot ! I was tired and not happy with this response and made that very clear ! What kind of motel takes your money ( overpriced at that ) and doesn’t provide somewhere to park ! It’s not like this motel is conveniently situated with other parking options nearby ! Absolute joke . He then came out walking along the carpark pointing the dud spots he figured we should fit , being either one small enough for a motorcycle or one where they had double parked leaving a half parking spot ? We were finally directed to one way down the end away from our room which had a overgrown garden and trees half over it . My daughter had no choice than to take it , with the manager sarcastically saying good parking . We were all tired and just wanted to shower and get the kids into bed . We then had to get the girls and our luggage out through the back hatch of the car as there was no accessing the doors on either the garden side or the other side which was super close to the next car ! The room was unclean and smelled of smoke ? The bathroom was smelly ( it stunk like septic in there ) it wasn’t clean like it was last attended to by a cleaner when it was built in the 70’s . We all subsequently went without showers that night . Opened the wardrobe to hang a dress to find a cockroach running inside The twin beds were both sagged on the middle . Curtains were filthy and don’t slide to cover the windows , we had to hold them across either side of the window with a chair pinning them there . This motel was a total nightmare and rip off . Needs the health department to come have a good inspection. Would never ever stay there again or recommend it . Would be better off sleeping in the car than here ! As other reviewers have stated we also didn’t expect a 5 star motel but we were expecting a clean place and a parking spot outside our room and certainly no disgusting smell

Loved my short stay at Guesthouse. There's free street parking in the nearby HowieAve. There's shared bathrooms but they're always clean and private. Walking distance to shops and Cronulla beach. Wifi is amazing signal. The walls are thin but it's an old building. I'm vegetarian and Ronny was super lovely to help me and organised a veggie dinner every night I was there. The cook is also a lovely lady! :) Would stay again.

A relaxing well appointed bolt hole to explore Sydney

Reviewed By Angiab

We arrived here late after a long haul flight from Italy. Terry gave us a warm welcome despite it being late in the evening. I discovers to my delight they had kindly stocked the fridge with everything we needed for our anticipated isolation. (By the time it wasn’t needed fortunately). A really clean comfortable two bedroomed bolt hole that we immediately settled into. The bacon in the fridge I cooked on the bbq the following morning. Lovely lush tropical garden with sun beds to relax in. All sorts of useful things were provided. Particularly in the kitchen. Cling film kitchen roll coffee pods for the machine. All the basics and more that you suddenly realise you needed had already been provided. Really comfortable beds and excellent shower. The beach, a stones throw away was stunning. And the town of Cronulla was delightful. Lots of locals going about their daily business. An added bonus was the train station in town, with a really efficient service to Central Sydney. Terry and Lynne were so helpful - making recommendations - they even drove us to one of their favourite restaurants. If you are looking for a tranquil relaxing place to return to after exploring Sydney I would definitely recommend this place.

We stayed here ad hoc and were pleasantly surprised. Lovely clean rooms. No traffic noise where we were. Hanging space, tea and coffee available. Beds were comfy as were the pillows. Helpful staff. I'd stay there again if needed in the area.
