Reviewed By bynnerWent to show at Bob Hope theater. Stayed one night at University Plaza Waterfront Hotel . Found it to be very clean , nice size room. Front desk very helpful polite . Shout out to Gloria ! TY. Grounds very nice . pool an waterfront location makes for great time. rooms had a large refrigerator. Little noisy. Microwave large also. 1/2 mile from BHT so it was a perfect evening. Food in there bar, restaurant are very good also . One suggestion Open for breakfast .

Reviewed By ttocsnodrog_2000I enjoyed a nice 3 night stay at the Stockton Hilton recently. I was very disappointed to find that the club room had been closed. It was nice to be able to pop in and enjoy soda, snacks, and just relax and watch TV. I'm not sure if that will divert me to another property, but it sure didn't help!

I am confused by the good reviews
Reviewed By grd4734We had booked a one night stay in early May and from the reviews, we had no concerns. When we arrived at the motel there were no open parking spaces except for the far end, by the pool, (scattered with children's toys) and the bushes. To be fair, they were doing renovations but IMHO that is something that should be disclosed on the website. People were milling about and we did not feel it was safe to leave our car in this area. I must add that the young man in the office was very kind and let us cancel right away.

Cheap, Filthy, Run Down
Reviewed By JMPInstructorCheck-in: Jesus was friendly and efficient, even as there was a difficult customer ahead of me demanding the attention of both clerks at the desk. Breakfast: What breakfast? Juice, a banana, maybe toast. It was the cheapest spread. No eggs, no meat. Walked out. External: Basically clean. The pool area could use some attention more than once a day. The parking lot was fairly clean. Rooms: Filthy, run-down, needs a serious renovation. I purposely walked around the room with one shoe on and one barefoot. I stepped out of my room and planted both feet on the cement, 2 very black footprints, one shoe one with black toes on the concrete. The carpet was disgusting. Amenities: The coffee maker was horrible. Cheapest of the cheap. The refrigerator was a surprise. Turned high it could freeze things. TV was o.k. Staff: Friend and efficient. Jesus was mentioned earlier. All housekeeping staff was courteous and quick. One morning, the girl at the front desk seemed absolutely bored with it all and was unapologetic when I mentioned the lack of real breakfast. WiFi: WiFi was o.k. but the 5G in the area is much much better. Guests: This one attracts a wide range of blue-collar. But, there were some that looked like they were there to conduct a little more shady business. The parking lot could get a little noisy in the evening. I never understood why people are so rude running those loud bass thumpers. Ice Machine: The ice machine was running well. However, there was a vagrant woman living in the well where my ice machine was located. She looked leather-tanned, with short-cropped hair. I noticed her going through garbage cans for food. Sad.

Reviewed By CTD05Used rewards points to book hotel and needed to push my reservations back a day. Called front desk and spoke with receptionist regarding pushing back a day and she said she would take care of it.On the day of arrival after driving eight hrs to the hotel, my wife and two littles we were deemed a no show because the front desk never processed my request. we were told no rooms were available. And if we wanted a room we would have to pay cash. (Note) the hotel is the one that dropped the ball, not me.I was also never refunded my reward points.

Incredibly rude staff
Reviewed By walNorthEastArrived before the check in time as we were on a motorcycle road trip and unsure of times. Very rude person advised we were too early to check in and closed the window on us before we had chance to ask any questions (here conversation with a colleague was obviously more important) . We cancelled the booking and chose somewhere else! It is in a bad spot, very noisy and given the staff, i would advise you looked elsewhere!

I would highly recommend this particular Extended Stay. Richard Daniel Vega.

On mentioning to locals in Sacramento we were told to ‘drive past, do not even stop for gas!’ Check on Google, we wish we had, it’s THE most dangerous city in California!! If you stay, lock the door, do not go out. On first impression the hotel & room looks nice as it’s new. We paid £151 so not really budget price. The walls are paper thin, you can here everything around you. It has a large fridge, but no where to sit to eat, so why bother. You can’t open the fridge door fully as it hits the sink. Shower is large but rain head should be positioned above not on the wall, therefore it trickles out. Toilet roll is under towel rail so gets covered by towel. No hairdryer?? On getting into bed at 11pm we pull back the sheets to find a used/dirty plaster (band aid) disgusting, especially following a pandemic. Not acceptable, we didn’t want to sleep in someone else’s sheets. We complain to reception, no apology, we seemed more of a nuisance to them. They offered us a bottle of water! Half hour later we were given 2 clean sheets, no pillow cases. Made us wonder how well the rest of the room had been cleaned. Bad nights sleep due to constant noise, traffic, sirens, people in the corridor smoking, playing music, talking, doors banging….. We have asked for a refund, currently declined with no offer. It was too late to go anywhere else. Disgusting and very poor service from a brand new hotel. This is being followed up by hotels.com Overall we wish we had indeed driven straight past.
