Super modern and clean
Reviewed By instantradioI stayed here with my boyfriend after seeing a show at Blackfriars. This hotel was definitely very modern: the front desk was a circle in the middle of a great room, there was a foosball table off from the breakfast area, and the whole place was decorated with bright colors. The front desk staff was very welcoming during check-in. The room was very clean and comfortable, and the provided shampoo, body wash, etc., were nice scents from Bath & Body Works, I believe. The breakfast was good, as well. Overall a very pleasant stay. Thanks to the staff!

Lovely 200 Year Old Hotel...
Reviewed By Ed MMy wife & I spent a few days at the Blackburn Inn so we could take in the sights in Staunton. The building has been restored in a sort of resto-mod fashion in order to make it appealing to the modern travelers. Our room was at the end of the 3rd floor, very quiet and relatively comfortable considering the age of the building Oddly enough, our suite had two rooms but no closet or wardrobe. We missed the breakfast but had an early lunch in town. If you love old historic properties, this is for you.

Reviewed By 897joymDriving from Florida to upstate NY requires at least one overnight stay. Reaching Staunton gives us an 8-hour drive the next day. This hotel is clean and comfortable. All front desk staff were personable and helpful. Our brother-in-law and his wife would be making that same trip three days later than us. We highly recommended this hotel to them, and they also stayed.

Reviewed By TR26We routinely make Choice hotels our first option when travelling, and a recent stop in Staunton brought us to this location. When I review a chain on TripAdvisor, I generally assign a rating of 4 if they're doing everything up to the chain's standards. My top rating here indicates that this location was a superior value. We were greeted by their night desk clerk who was supremely affable and helpful. When we found that the remote to one of our TVs wasn't working, he went around to all of the vacant rooms until he found one that did--that's the level of service you might expect. I like to spend a few more dollars and reserve a room with a whirlpool tub, which Choice is offering at more and more locations. Well, in this case we won the lotttery, this suite was remarkable. Nice spa tub, counter-table which served as a desk for both of us at once, comfy bed, and out the window a view of sunrise over the blue ridge mountains--if you're up that early. I understand they'll be re-branding this as one of their Clarion hotels. If I'm back in Staunton I'll know what to look for.
