Good place for local visitor, but not leisure as expected

Site has many facilities, many has good experience or education meaning, but operator didn't maintain very well, kind waste the view around the site. Service are good, staffs are friendly, room is clean and leisure. if you have aged family or friend who taking the wheel chair, choice first floor, even so be careful with stair, it is still inconvenient to roll.

Because the hotel we stayed at the first night was a total disaster we decided to go to Far Glory. We were greeted at the reception by Owen, who was absolutely awesome! He was very friendly, helpful and very professional. He is definitely a great assest to this establishment. We enjoyed the pool very much. The gardens are beautiful and the view from the top of the hotel is breathtaking. I gave the hotel a 4 and not a 5 rating only because the dinner and breakfast buffet was mainly for Asian people and not for foreigners. Perhaps not having tourists from other countries visiting because of the coronavirus might be the reason.

Gorgeous hidden villa oasis in Shoufeng Township!
Reviewed By Lois CBear forest villa is located in a hidden area of Hualien County (Shoufeng) near other B&Bs. It is definitely a superb and excellent place for families. I reserved a villa with two beds pretty last minute and they were able to accommodate my family. The excellent feature of the villa is that every villa has a private hot tub in the back for your use. The premises also offers free bicycles for its guests to ride around. My husband rode a bike with our 19month old while my mom and I each rode our own bikes. The surrounding lakes and trees and other beautiful vacation homes around the area were gorgeous to look at. The only thing that was annoying were the hualien bugs but the premises provides you with bug spray if you ask for it. Also the staff doesn’t really speak English so it helped that my mom and I spoke mandarin. We will definitely be coming back here next time! They even gave our son a free adorable teddy bear to take home. Usually they only give the bears to repeat customers but the staff was so nice to us. The food was also delicious and includes breakfast with an amazing staff!!! It’s best to come here on a weekday when it’s less crowded. Highly recommend this place for families and couples looking for a hidden oasis

We spent a lot of time just chilling and having lunch (with vegetarian compliant options) and it was really good moments. Would definitely recommend, even if it's just for a quick stop, it would be worth it

Reviewed By epigrapheinThe B&B is a pleasant and quiet place to stay. It is about 25mins drive away from Hualien City. My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights. The plan was to explore Taroko Gorge but the host (whom we address as Mama) recommended to explore some other areas such as Shitiping, Qinxintan beach and Dongdamen Night Market. I think Mama understood my wife and I well. The places that she recommended was very laid back and fuss free. I enjoyed the journey to and the destinations that she suggested. Mama really took good care of us. She arranged our taxi rides, a guide to Taroko (Mr Huang) and even brought us to a very discreet dinner place near by which served the most delicious grill fish we ever had. We only knew a little chinese so there a lot of Google translating and guessing. But lovely Mama was very patient with us. Wati, her Indonesian helper was a blessing to us as we communicate in bahasa. She even made for us Indo me for breakfast. Our hotel room was on the second floor. Clean and spacious, it look like it could accommodate a family of 3 or 4. There was no wardrobe to keep our clothes in but that did not bother much. The roof top is an awesome to watch the sun rise and the waves. Overall 5 stars. There are other places around the area that we can stay at but we would be more than happy to comeback to Ocean B&B to see Mama again :)

Reviewed By wai2getherIt's a good stay! I like it as it was casual and comfortable. Ken-the owner was nice and generous, and as welcoming as all Hualien people. If there was anything, you can just ask or talk to Ken. He would be very helpful. By the way, Ken and his wife can speak English; if you are English-speaking and want to stay in a casual place where you can feel at home, it's definitely the place you are looking for. The sea was right in front. Bus stop was nearby. If I go to Hualien again, I will stay there again.

Feeling like home
Reviewed By NW27This is really a rare experience; I deeply feel the enthusiasm of the people of Taiwan. The owner, a warm and generous guy just like a long lost friend, introduces my wife and me the nearby attractions, so we have the opportunity to witness the beauty of Taiwan. The breakfast provided is what I think the best. Both the Chinese and Western style breakfasts are served. It is delicious and healthy. The room equipped all the necessary facilities, and is clean, but the charge is low. This is really a good B&B. I believe I will come back to this cozy B&B in the future, and I will also recommend it to all my friends.
