Just not worth it
Reviewed By LauraZ1437We booked this hotel as a relaxing couple of days during a camp holiday. Unfortunately we don't speak a lot of French and speaking English was not appreciated. The room was quit small and there were ants coming out of the ceiling. Not a traditional hotel as the rooms are in separate buildings separated by a lot of stairs. We could hear everything the neighbors said. Restaurant was also not very good. Don't order the crab soup as it is only a broth and contains no crab.

Quiet, family run hotel close to the best beach in the area
Reviewed By Jesper ZWe had planned for a week at Cabanaccia, but after staying 3 days we cancelled another booking, and extended our stay for two weeks! We had a smalle appartement/studio with a kitchen and bath. The room was simple but had all the appliances you need. Further the room has an balcony that is in the shadow all day which is GREAT when the temperature is 30+. You can enjoy your meals at the balcony with an extraordinary view to the mountains and the valley leading to the sea. The baker is showing op every morning in his car honking the horn as he's going down the mountain. Leaving you time to get out of bed, into some clothes to get the greatest french bred and pastry, all fresh and warm ... have cash at hand :-). The couple running the place (and the baker) speaks french ... and italian. But are very patient, and fully understand hands-and-foot-french for those of us who doesn't speak either. They seem happy to run their hotel which shows in their always friendly and service minded way of getting around. For an example of the great service I can add, that we had a problem with a broken air conditioned. I talked to him in the morning, and as we got back from the beach same afternoon, the AC was exchanged with a new. The hotel is 1.5 km from the most beautiful and silent beach, that even has two splendid restaurants from where you can enjoy good food AND the sunset. If you don't wanna move the 1.5 km, you can enjoy the pool that's always cool, clean and has great deckchairs for everyone. I love this place! Being here during the Football championships and the Tour de France is not borering either, as everybody has opinions and like to share :-)

Not a great experience
Reviewed By khufu24Stella Marina We booked a Superior Studio but that’s not a speaking name. The studio appears much smaller in reality than the pictures shown on the website, a classical case of false advertising. The master bed nearly fits in the room and leaves ample space to enter the room itself. Also the bathroom is very small and whilst sitting on the loo I have to bent left to avoid hitting the wall with my knees. With my 6ft (1.82) I am not extremely tall one would say. The beds are firm and I slept well. After a good sleep one is looking forward to breakfast. We booked it extra at 10,- each a day. Not really cheap and the breakfast turned out to be a major disappointment. There was very limited choice, no eggs at all (not even a boiled egg). The coffee machine was not working, pressing on ‘cappuccino’ left me with a cup of hot water only. the only lady serving in the restaurant tried to solve the problem but we ended up with something that tasted like chocolate milk and nothing even close to a cup of coffee. The kitchen is very very small and there’s no power outlet so one even needs to position the coffee machine elsewhere to make yourself a coffee. There’s no dishcloth and nothing to do your dishes. One has even to provide ones own trash bags! Another unpleasant surprise was the fact that after the first day the room was not cleaned and towels were not changed. We went to see the receptionist but were not really helped and ended up paying an additional amount to get our towels changed. A big and small towel each doesn’t suffice to shower a week in a hot country one would say. One also has to provide one’s own shower gel! One small sachet each is provided for a whole week but it lasts only one shower. On a more positive note the swimming pool is very nice but no towels are provided here either but fortunately we packed our own. Also the environment is really nice and quiet at a 5 min walk from a pebble beach. The WiFi is so poor (0.5 Mbps) that it can’t be properly used.

Wunderschöne Anlage
Reviewed By stefanie708Die Anlage ist traumhaft schön. Ein blühender Garten und kleine Wäldchen umgeben die Häuser, die einfach aber zweckmässig eingerichtet sind. Wenn man ein Problem hat, ist der Hauswart immer vor Ort und hilft sofort. Einzig negativ, dass es Abends recht laut ist, man z. T. Ameisenplagen im Haus hat und bei uns funktionierte der Herd nicht richtig.
