The best available hotels & places to stay near Saratoga Springs

July 19, 2022 Jacquiline Darosa

Saratoga Springs is one of those special getaway spots where everything is just, well, pretty close to perfect. The city's lovely tree-lined streets and grand old Victorians, porch swings swaying and gardens brimming with colorful flora bring to mind a gentler era. World-class horse racing, renowned performing arts and natural springs spas, plus 13 golf courses, 10 museums, a historic battlefield, fabulous boutiques, antiques and restaurants mean there is something for everyone. Relax at the Lincoln Mineral Baths, window shop in town and then it's off to the races. Walk everywhere, it's that kind of place. One of the oldest tourist destinations in the United States, Saratoga offers ample accommodation choices in elegant hotels, historic bed and breakfasts or comfortable inns. The only drawback is you may never want to leave.

I enjoy Saratoga casino. But it really needs to have another place to eat,and to have breakfast if you are staying over night I realize the buffet was a big draw to many so maybe a diner like restaurant, lucky joes just doesn’t cut it.as a tea drinker there is never any milk except at the bar which I would rather not have to bring my cup over and bother someone at the bar to get me a drop of milk.

Usually a 5 this time not so much…

We’ve been coming here for 10 years. Always friendly and attentive staff. Diamond Club food is always on point. Unfortunately this time the food was a miss. Clams Casino basically was salad and bacon on the clams, additionally too salty…sent them back. Ordered the filet mignon tournadoes (their spelling). The meat came out same time as our crab cake replacement. It was room temp and somewhat undercooked, ate most it was ok. We contacted the front desk to request light housekeeping for next day. We left room at 11:30 AM, returned 4ish never got touched. We found a nice young lady cleaning a room and she switched out our towels, I told her don’t worry about the bed making. This place is usually on point and exceeds expectations every time. This was not their best effort on several levels. Bright spot…Jason the bartender is a rockstar bartender with a great sense of humor. Hopefully next visit will be the way we’ve become accustomed to in Saratoga Springs. Morning omelette guy is also personable and very good at what he does. Sorry we didn’t get his name!

Elegance and Comfort in a World-Class Inn

Reviewed By raymondwY2963LM

My wife and I recently spent three nights at the Saratoga Arms in celebration of our anniversary. We usually stay in one of their garden suites to take advantage of the fireplace in cooler weather and direct access to the outdoors, but this time I chose an upper-level room because of the wingback reading chairs depicted on the Inn's website. Since it rained one day and we spent the afternoon indoors reading, this turned out to be a felicitous and cozy choice. The staff at the Saratoga Arms are extraordinarily friendly, helpful, and accommodating, offering excellent suggestions, when asked, and are always happy to orient travelers to all the wonders that Saratoga Springs offers, regardless of the season. And, whether spending the day shopping or hiking or attending local events, one of the main reasons we stay at the Saratoga Arms is their breakfast, included in most packages and well worth the additional surcharge. It always allows us to embark well-fortified for a day of adventure and exploration.

Quaint, Comfortable, Clean and Possibly Haunted! LOL

I loved everything about this Inn. Very conveniently located to everything in Saratoga. Parking is a little cramped, but ample street and other parking within walking distance. Upon arrival, I was greeted by a very nice gentleman who checked me in. As I got off of the elevator on the second floor, I thought uh oh, this place has got to be haunted! The hallway was a little creepy, but in a nice way. LOL I just knew the age of the building and that's where my thoughts immediately went. When I opened the room door, I was very pleasantly surprised. A bedroom with two double beds and a sitting area that led to the bathroom. All furnishings were very lovely appointed with antiques. There was plenty of lighting with natural light streaming in as well. The bathroom was very modern and done very nicely. A refrigerator and coffee maker for your convenience. TV with plenty of cable channels to choose from. I only spent the night, however I wished it were longer. Upon check out there was a lovely breakfast and the woman who assisted me was very pleasant and attentive. If you are looking for something different from the big box hotels, try this lovely inn. It will not disappoint!!
