Older but clean and wonderful location

Reviewed By Thib2722

The hotel is an older property but modernized. It’s clean and bed was comfortable. There is no breakfast or restaurant on site. The location is wonderful if you’re going to the Temple Square area or to the convention center. The staff was very nice. I’d recommend it. Ask for a room away from the elevator. While convenient, people are stupid and don’t have any sense of decorum, coming out the elevator all hours talking loudly. At 2:00 am, what else would someone in a hotel room be doing but sleeping. Have some courtesy. The water pressure was wonky. Sometimes it’s great and other times it just went away.

Hotel lacks a lot for the price

Reviewed By Seaside08487494762

We came into town for 3 nights with our kids and dogs for a funeral in the area. The hotel lobby was clean and the front desk staff was friendly the entire stay. Our room was ok. I found our phone and tv not in working order. The fridge was fine. The bed was a rock. Even my hubby who likes a firm mattress found it to be uncomfortable. We saw people in the (outdoor) pool and it looked clean but we didn't have time to try it ourselves on this trip. We were late to breakfast every single morning. By late, I mean, the last 30 minutes it was being served. If you don't want to be the first one in line at 7am, expect them to be out of food, condiments, and coffee. Breakfast goes until they run out. We were charged $75 for the stay to bring our dogs. This is fine, but for being "pet friendly" I expect to have some level of service for the charge. You'll find the "pet area" is 2 feet of rocky, thorny weeds full of trash, behind the dumpster, on top of an open storm grate, with parking in front of it so hope nobody is parked there. The pet waste bin is full, the poop mits bin is empty. No, there is no substitute place to bring your dog to use the bathroom. The entire parking lot is cemented.

Elegant and Stunning Historical Hotel. Love the history of the building!

The negative reviews about this hotel Are petty. This is an amazing historical Hundred year old hotel with elegance charm and great customer service. The lobby decorations and colors are stunning down to The mosaic tile P behind the front counter. Our room was on the third floor. It was a two queen room. These rooms are extremely larger and more Spacious than an ordinary hotel room. Our family of 4 had so much space To open our 50 pound large Luggage suitcases and still had plenty of room to maneuver comfortably around the room, The bathroom is very large with beautiful black and white floor tile. The rooms Are decorated with stunning historic touches and colors. We had breakfast next door with our vouchers and it was yummy as well. This might be listed as a three star hotel but in my opinion it’s definitely a 4 star. The paid parking lot next door was not a problem and overall we had a wonderful one night stay while Passing through town. Keep up the great service of your amazing historic hotel. The price of this hotel is absolutely reasonable for what you get. I’d we came back to Salt Lake this would be the first and only hotel we would choose.
