Our hotel is centrally located in Roanoke Valley, in the heart of Blue Ridge Mountains, close to many beautiful wineries. Room was a little on the small side, but we didn't need to spread out. HUGE tv. I liked the pump bottles of toiletries on the restroom. #enviornmentallyconcious Breakfast was a large array of grab and go items. Shower had hot water. The hotel still has a "new hotel smell", similar to a "new car smell". Located right off the interstate, but our room was very quiet. Bed was super comfortable. Highly recommend.

Reviewed By Scenic769119This hotel was the CLEANEST hotel I have ever been at .. I’m giving it five stars ..I stayed here for 4 days .. and you can smell the freshness of the Lemon.. I saw the guy cleaning the elevator with soapy water on his hand and knees .. NO MOP..The breakfast is good not spectacular. But you can get eggs sausage some cereal and make a waffle .. hot coffee and tea .. I would stay here again .. I’m all about cleanliness .. I worked in Roanoke but saw so many bad reviews I decided to stay 15 minutes out in Salem …The cleaning staff is amazing and everyone was friendly and that exactly what you need .. while here visit awful Arthur’s restaurant steak and seafood pretty good and definitely the museums and the roanoke star was cool !

A quick stay
Reviewed By 412patty2022Great location, friendly staff and clean hotel. Our stay was just for the night as a stopover on a road trip. The hotel was close to major arteries and many restaurants were within a 5 mile radius. We didn’t have to go far for a good meal, gassing up and heading home the next morning. All great!

All the latest lights, shower fixtures, bathroom mirror, and the thermostat works beautifully! Since we got here mid-afternoon, I took walks at 2 of the lovely parks in downtown Salem. Our room was super comfortable and spotlessly clean. Then, when we went to breakfast this morning, there was freshly-cooked and crispy bacon as well as good scrambled eggs. Lots of other good things to eat, but I was down with the bacon and eggs. I stay in motels often enough to know that good bacon and eggs are hard to find.

A friend and I stayed there one night . Played golf. For the price Days inn was very good.
Reviewed By Jerry RFor the money really good. The location was a little off I-81. But easy to get too. Room was ok. I would stay there again if I was in that neighborhood. Lots of different restaurants around. We were on the way to Pottsville ,PA. On the way back home stoped in Salem for lunch.

Great stay- clean room, terrible breakfast
Reviewed By Jacqueline WEverything was great except the breakfast. I know COVID changed the breakfasts but at this point Fairfield Inn needs to go back to the way it was. There were no bread, english muffin or bagel options. Just premade breakfast sandwiches and omelets. The slim pickings had us change our plans and hit Cracker Barrel instead. This is shame. I guess the days of the oatmeal pot and waffle maker are gone for good. I hope the powers that be can improve the breakfasts because I'm a loyal Marriott customer but for the money, I'd be better off spending a little more on a night at the Springhill Suites line to get a better breakfast rather than Fairfield Inn since I wound up paying for a breakfast elsewhere

Tired and Needs Updating
Reviewed By etlewisRooms are dated and need updating. There were no little "extras" in the room like a shower cap nor was there a sign that said if you forgot something to contact the front desk. Forget breakfast. They didn't have any bread to make toast or bagels. There was a waffle in the refrigerator wrapped in Saran Wrap, I guess to be toasted. No decaf tea to be had.
