Reviewed By CaporcianoWe booked using Booking.com… taxes all included & were then charged taxes on leaving, the young lady saying oh, it’s only 1.2 € - not the point! They are obviously in a state of transition / seemingly modernising rooms which is great. Attentive contact prior to our arrival & then it all started to fall apart! We had booked table to eat there. We had no table waiting for us! The young lady (who was frantically running round!) showed us to a larger table no doubt from embarrassment. Then the wait began, the turmoil… watching the lass run round as others sought tables… I said to my partner, we should go elsewhere and eat - even a takeaway! You know when you get these feelings you should go with them! But, sadly the young lady just arrived suddenly at our table! Quelle Dommage. The Menu offered little by way of choice & I was left with little options other than steak! It’s never good in France - unless you know a good place to have it… and well… But, I did express concern about a possible wait. She assured us we would have food ‘tout suite’… OK. The wine arrived and I asked for bread for comfort… we waited! I reminded the poor lass. Then the steaks arrived with the bread! Steaks & plate was passable. Did we want a desert? Same question was asked! How long a wait? I requested the Creme Brûlée : always predictable my partner says! We were reassured theirs was a house speciality. You know what’s coming next? Merde I said to my partner - who unfortunately knew what I had said. I repeated it to the staff. The chef then came out to apologise ! The Dep chef had not seemingly followed the instructions on the packet?? Water added instead of milk?!

Decent overnight stay
Reviewed By marcwalker5We stayed here for one night while transiting from Chamonix to Alpe d'Huez. The hotel is located right at the foot of the Col du Télégraphe, so was perfect for our route which took us over several high mountain passes. The hotel looked to be in the process of an upgrade. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean, just needs a bit of modernisation in places. The hotel does overlook a busy road and a railway line, so can be a little noisy. All in all, a good base from which to explore the Maurienne Valley and surrounding Cols, just not at the luxury end of the scale.

Guest House and Table full of character at the heart of Savoy (Maurienne). Authentic hous from the 14th century renovated in a contemporary style. Three rooms, one suitable for a whole family. Total capacity: 9 people.Next to the large ski domains as well as cycle and walking domains. You will be back into the nature there, be it in Winter or Summer.

Reviewed By MiquelangelolivaThe days spent in "Les chemins de Traversaz" have been absolutely formidable. The location of the house, its decoration, the food and above all the kindness of Alain, his wife and son have been perfect, hard to improve. A great place to stay, quiet and very well located to go cicling. Without doubts highly recommended. We've really enjoyed. I hope to return in the near future.

Definitely to avoid
Reviewed By ViktorTatranMinimal accommodation, bed without sheets, no towels or soap, no comfort at all but worse, the owner is agressive and do not try to help. Shower most of the time without hot water. There is much better place to stay around.

Worth the price
Reviewed By bobr666Room was OK, and what I would expect for €39. Shared toilet/shower but not a problem at this price. Had dinner in the resto, it was fine and good value @€15 for a fixed menu (melon/ham, chicken/pasta, cheese).
