Did Not Clean Room for 5 Days

For 4 and a half days our rooms were left with full trash cans, towel piles, unmade beds, no soap or shampoo refills and a room that was deteriorating (including outside of the building). Before we booked we were NOT told that our rooms wouldn't be cleaned (otherwise we would not have stayed with Best Western). When we arrived back to our room at night time, I had to go to the front desk to ask for towels and toiletries (I didn't receive everything I asked for - but at least I got some towels and face soap to use). I told the gentleman at the front desk that our room hadn't been cleaned. He said if you were out of the room by 11a.m. then it would be cleaned. This made no sense because we were out of the room that day before 11a.m. So we thought there had been a mistake. The desk clerk never asked or mentioned that he would make a note to house keeping to have our room cleaned for the next day. The next day we were out by 11a.m. again. We came back to our room later that night and again no clean room. Again I went to the front desk to hunt for towels, soap and shampoo. I mentioned to a different gentleman at the front desk that our room hadn't been cleaned in two days. Again I didn't get all the toiletries that I asked for but I at least got towels. And again the desk clerk never offered to make a note to have our room cleaned for the next day. The desk clerk did mention to us that the reason our room wasn't cleaned was because there were not enough employees to have our room cleaned. This a different story from what the desk clerk told us the night before. I do wish he would have made a note to house keeping. But neither of the desk clerks working at night offered. The third night we came back to the hotel and the same scenario happened. We had to go to the lobby at night, to ask for towels, soap and shampoo. At this point we felt like Best Western didn't care about us as customers and probably no one else either. The fourth night was exactly the same as the other three. Spend $572 with Best Western and you better love trash and towel piles in your room. And make sure to hunt for towels but don't even try asking for pillow cases or sheets. The hunt for towels and toiletries is only the tip of the iceberg. The hotel is messy outside and inside and looks structurally unsafe in the stairways. Rust and crumbling concrete -and dried goop in the rooms carpeting. This stay at Best Western was unsanitary and unsettling. We feel like our money was stolen because we were duped into believing that we would have clean rooms, toiletries and trash removal (usually the basics at all other hotels).

The location is very clean and they are doing major upgrades the site with no disturbance to the customers. They have a great social bar with Tv's and food options. Reviewed By edisonshonsI checked in with Tayler and she has a wonderful upbeat personality and you can tell she loves her job, she was able to help direct me to my room from the lobby and provided me with the wifi password before having to even ask; needless to say very informative. When I cane down to ask for more towels and linens she popped up right away and was able to help with no hesitation. She’s definitely a hard-worker. I got to my room and there was a channel guide which was amazing to have already there and the room was spacious and cozy - I had a wonderful nights rest and will be back!

Reviewed By Lynn EJust as nice place to stay. Clean rooms and friendly staff. Nice breakfast and wonderful coffee. It within driving distance to lots of good shopping, site seeing and museums. It was close to the airport and public transportation was easily accessed.

Reviewed By F6475BTjmThis is a charming little boutique hotel located on Brushy Creek near the Chisholm Trail. It’s within walking distance to downtown Round Rock. The rooms are quirky and modern. They are very neatly kept. It’s a step off the beaten path, but it makes it very nice since no road noise can be heard. The balcony was nice. And overlooked the creek. You could watch ducks, geese, and kayakers pass by drinking your morning coffee. They have an in room espresso machine, but not a coffee maker. They also did not have a microwave in the room, but you could go to the fitness center and use the one in there. The bar was cute. All of the staff were extremely nice. We only had a couple of issues when we stayed… but neither of which was the hotel’s fault. We had very rude next door neighbors that decided to get rip roaring drunk and forget anyone else was staying at the hotel or might be trying to sleep. We alerted the hotel staff, and the issue was taken care of immediately. They were also very helpful with suggestions on local places to eat and visit. Very lovely place to stay.
