Reviewed By irisgB6431NVWe stayed at Maro Suites. This place is fantastic resort for a perfect stay with your cheerful kid (4 years old). We enjoyed in every moment - fast and kind check in/out, indoor and outdoor pools, restaurants, Maro themed parties, cinema. The place is really tailored to the needs of one family to have great vacation (happy kid-happy parents). The only place where this hotel could improve is the pool service/offer (to include fruit, burgers, fries perhaps). We will be back for sure!

Reviewed By nass1470Our experience as a family (he, she and two daughters - 6 and 4) was very pleasant. Room was clean from the get go and cleaned every day. Although we did not spent too much time inside, it was a great feeling to come to sleep in a very cozy and chilly room (The AC = #1). And the refrigerator (chill box) was very helpful. Internet connection very good (even next to the pool). What was a very pleasant surprise? To see that the manager of the dinning room kept everything in check. People were asked to keep a mask on and the staff did the same. Because of the situation (pandemic and all) we were assigned to a eating table for the entire stay. So there was no looking for the best spot next to the buffet table, no confusion at all. Everybody knew what to do and it was a great feeling to see a little bit of discipline. This rule (room/table) could be great for the future. Food was very good and there was something for every taste. Trays were always filled back in time. Very pleasant staff. Young, respectful girls and boys made everything at the right time. The pool (or better said the pools) were as they were suppose to be (clean and safe). The Showers were functional. The Adriatic Sea was right there. less than a minute away. Crazy water! The best part of all? We had the chance to be there when they had a "Fire Show Night". It was a very nice experience for the kids and for us as well. The magic Egyptian, kept everybody at the edge of their seats during his performance. Congrats! Then the activities in the day time. Kids Club twice a day, Aqua Gym, Stretching etc. Everything was there,. At the tip of the nose. Great stuff! Something bad, i can not recall. Just that there was just one socket in the room, so we charged the batteries in turns. If there were a scale 1 to 10? I could give it easily a 9.5 and never look back. Thank you!

Disappointment
Reviewed By tjashakWe had big expectations considering the online ratings/reviews and the fact that it's a 4 star hotel but were later extremely disappointed. We have quite a lot of experience with 4 and 5 star Croatian coast hotels and have never been this unpleasantly suprised before. Our room (D1) had spider webs, damaged wall corners, flies and mosquitos. The bathroom looks like it was built 20 years ago, a sink that seems to be designed to splash water everywhere, a bathtub/shower with a cracked shower handle, the shower glass is not placed properly, so you have to be very careful while showering in order not to flood the whole bathroom. The room had no slippers, no beach towels. The breakfast is very generic, nothing special but what bothered us were the flies...indoors...at the buffet, on the food, tables, chairs...everywhere. Wifi is very weak, every room has it's own wifi router and password so as soon as you leave your room, you lose the signal, so there's no wifi at the hotel restaurant (at breakfast). Upon leaving the hotel we were suprised that the hotel manager didn't even ask us how was our stay/if everything was ok...she was completely unbothered and seemed only interested in us paying and leaving. Nevertheless, we have to say that Ana (who was at the front desk reception when we checked in) was very kind and helpful regarding information about the town, beaches etc. All in all...the hotel is definitely not worth the money.

Reviewed By milevam2016What a pleasant surprise! Two guys at the gate, the staff at the reception desk, the maid who rearranged beds in our room. Everything ran smoothly. Excellent food - half board, tons of roses in the garden and arround the pools. Spotlesly clean. Beach restaurant, the beach itself, sun beds, ... One of the most pleasant short stays in Croatia in general. Thank you, see you in October!

Reviewed By royalroadresidenceIt is very big hotel with poor services. Our room was smelling so bad, the carpet and the room in general is very old, everything very used and it smells bad. Breakfast and dinner was ok, nothing special, more like it is cheap and every day the same. Drinks for breakfast is just unbelievable bad. During dinner time you pay for drinks - just for your info water is for 30kn while the same bottle in the hotel shop is for 7. There are no fridges in the room, so you can’t even store your waters which is not very comfortable when you are in the beach hotel. Cleaning was sad. Our sink was clogged from the day one when we arrived. Only last day they cleaned it when we asked them to do so (although housekeeper was visiting our room every day). Check out is the slowest I have ever seen, waiting 45 minutes for the invoice and reception is empty, I was the only one who was waiting there. I asked them to send it by email but I was rejected. To summarize, I don’t think we will be back here. Disappointing!

Seven Night Stay
Reviewed By MT48Hotel has good partial sea views from balcony rooms. The beds are comfortable and bedroom and bathroom clean but lacking a fridge. Breakfast disappointing as only cold meats/cheese etc. available and cold hard boiled eggs occasionally. Fruit was requested and one orange produced and some water melon one day. Thestaff were polite bot mine host was rather gruff. We planned to eat here once for dinner as it was considerably more expensive than others around. Apparently this is because it is higher rated restaurantwise but we were told it wasn't that great and overpriced by people that had eaten there so we never did. All in all a decent hotel and fairly priced but needs to be more welcoming and up it's game at breakfast.

Der Ausblick vom Balkon ist einfach traumhaft und wunderschön, ob in der Früh zum Frühstück oder abends um den Tag schön ausklingen zu lassen. Da ich in der Nebensaison reiste, war es rundherum sehr ruhig und angenehm. Es gibt tolle Wandermöglichkeiten, was ich auch nutzte. Hier ist der Ausblick stellenweise auch unbeschreibbar. In der Nähe (zu Fuß erreichbar) befindet sich alles Notwendige (Supermarkt, Apotheke, Lokale) was man braucht, größere Supermarktketten befinden sich in ca. 5km Entfernung. Es stehen mehrere Parkplätze kostenlos von der Unterkunft zur Verfügung. Die Gastgeber sind äußerst nett, für jegliche Fragen offen und hilfsbereit. Ich reise sonst sehr viel und kehre selten zum zweiten Mal zurück, hier jedoch würde ich mit Sicherheit wieder zurückkommen :-).
