Reviewed By saidalsowaidiThis is my first ever visit to the NW of Galcia, arrived for a meeting that lasted 2 days, the views from the hotel of the river and Figueras & Castropol are beautiful. The food at the restaurant are superb, well Galician food is best in Europe, service is very good. Rooms although spacious, so does the bathroom, but so dated, I think the Parador Management needs to remember that even rural hotels have to be updated, I'm sorry to be blunt. Staff are very friendly and helpful.

They have just completed and addition and we stayed at a brand new room, very tastefully done. A true gem. Jean Carlo and Mila were absolutely outstanding showing us the property, preparing a delicious breakfast for guests, and giving us passes and tips for visiting Playa as Catedrais, which is just 5 minute drive away. Lovely staff. Great stay!

Reviewed By derbyshiretwoA really lovely hotel but set in the middle of nowhere. Sure if you take advantage of the spa treatments it would be a great place to stay. We had a room on the first floor so didn't suffer the sloping roof as some of our fellow travellers did. We had a nice room, wifi not that easy to sort out but got there eventually. There was a lovely buffet meal at night and at breakfast the next day. The dining room was very nice and light and the food was definitely the best we had on the tour. The staff seemed very pleasant too. We had a nice after dinner drink in a lovely seating area surrounded by books and there were people on the bar which made a change for this trip!!!!

Great central location for checking out real estate all around Lugo. 8. connecting rooms available 9. Supermarket on the corner right next door 10. clean and well maintained...recent reno??? a couple of negatives: Room was covid bare, no extras at all. No kettle or hot drink supplies or any other amenity. Did hear a bit of noise from other rooms and lift outside but overall sleep quality OK. Only 1 disappointment was our room service...15 minutes or more late and stone cold...no dressing for my salad and missing veggies from the salmon dish....it was valentine's day but we avoided room service after that choosing uber eats instead of risking it. We also walked into the lobby cafe around 1pm and were told they had nothing to eat or sell...was it siesta? We ordered pizza delivery instead. We did like it so much we stayed an extra night, despite the few negatives.

Reviewed By BigsilkieThis is a popular business hotel about 10 mins drive from Lugo. It also works as a tourist hotel but lacks some finesse in places. The recently refurbished rooms are large and comfortable with air conditioning and nice countryside views from the back. In the room we stayed in there was a distinct lack of furniture such as any drawers to store clothes, a table under the tv. In the bathroom the shower was big with good water pressure but some of the tiles urgently needed rerouting. Some additional towel rails and additional towels would have been nice. When we stayed the main restaurant was closed for both days so we ate in the bar. This can get very busy and once you try the food you will see why. On both occasions we ate really well with freshly cooked seafood and steaks. Service is brusque but efficient. if you don't speak Spanish make sure you ask specifically for the English menu which explains everything. The Fillet Tornedos are amazing - in fact all the meat is good, Torre de Nunez has its own meat production label and there's a shop in the bar where you can buy some of its products. The breakfast is very good, hot bacon and eggs or a good selection of tasty cold meats, fruit etc. All in all a nice hotel and good value.

Reviewed By 229premasIf hotel is categorised as 4 stars, it should provide at least what is expected.. firstly, deplorable service by front desk staff, seemed like they were doing us a favor by checking us in! Breakfast served in a sad basement space, shocking that milk served is made from milk powder, horrible pre-made coffee served. Hotel lists parking provided free but that is NOT the case, basement parking is at a charge. Tiny TV monitors in room. Only good thing, rooms are ample with gorgeous seaview.

The hotel staff are very professional, and the restaurant was very good for dinner and breakfast. Ayelen, the hotel director was very friendly and accommodative. I highly recommend this hotel!
