Reviewed By beautyandbeyondWent to Batanes with family in December, we stayed in Amboy and had a great time. Staff are courteous, friendly and accommodating. Rooms are very clean. Not a fan of their breakfast though, but over all it’s a good place to stay

Reviewed By JennyandJoe123Staff as well are friendly and accommodating. Kept the room clean everyday during our stay. Doug, the owner, prepared a superb dinner. Cons: no phone signal and internet connection inside the room even at the terrace. Our flight back to Manila was cancelled, I called them to pick us up back to the hotel and responded quickly.

Centrally located in the heart of Basco is the Seaside ANNEX BRANCH (LOCATION: BASCO TOWN PROPER), offers easy access to Basco's main sightseeings and retail areas. It is located a short walk from Basco Plaza and Basco Cathedral Church. It is also within a 20-minute walk to Naidi Hills, Basco Lighthouse, Basco's surrounding beaches and even Basco Airport, which allows convenient access in and around Basco,Batanes.

Basco Homestay at Its Finest
Reviewed By lakwatseragalThis lovely homestay is less than a 10-minute walk from Basco Airport. You can have hot and cold water from the dispenser, as well as use their utensils for free. The air-conditioned rooms are well maintained. There are televisions both on the first and second floors. The owner also has a store on the first floor where you can buy basic necessities. The bathrooms, although shared, are always kept clean. This homestay is also within walking distance to eating spots and souvenir shops in Basco. The Ivatans can speak and understand both English and Tagalog, so you wouldn't have a hard time asking for directions. One downside, though, is its lack of wi-fi. However, that is clearly stated in their description, so you should already be prepared beforehand. Smart has the best reception in Batanes; Globe has intermittent connection even in Basco (it becomes worse in farther areas). Overall, this is a highly recommended accommodation in Basco for its affordability and strategic location. Its kind and helpful owner is a welcome addition.

Reviewed By Chicki Florette... UOur room was cleaned daily, sparse but enough to serve our purposes. The bathroom had a functional heater. Food was simple but filling. Staff were friendly and very accommodating. There is no wifi. Globe signal was good but mobile data was weak.

Excellent quiet hotel in South Basco
Reviewed By cbO9iouHzrHJl2zrThis property actually has two locations, one in North Basco and another is South Basco on Dita street South of Contra Costa road. We stayed in the South location and it was excellent! The only downside was no WiFi, but no hotels in Basco have this. +Quiet +10 minutes walk from everything in Basco +Very clean +Rooftop lounge to watch sunset and stars +Staff was very helpful including continually checking to see if there was anything else we needed +Private restroom and shower. +Four beds (two queen, two twin). +Free breakfast +Good water pressure and hot water. +Air-conditioning works well. -No WiFi at this property. Not really a big issue as almost every location in Basco does not have WiFi.

Our staff, holding a placard with your name, will welcome you at the airport and give a complimentary transfer from/to the airport. We also give one day complimentary breakfast. Satisfactory stay in the center of town
Reviewed By maila_aniThe guesthouse is 5 minutes away from the airport. They pick up and drop you off at the airport. Our room was clean. The airconditioner and ceiling fan worked well. There was a TV, mirror and bedside table. There was a small closet with hangers. They provided clean towels, dental hygiene kit, soap and shampoo. Our bathroom was just outside our room. The bathroom ws clean and spacious. It had a bidet and hot shower (which was very much needed because it was quite cold when we were there). They cleaned our room and bathroom everyday. The common spaces were the living room, dining room, and kitchen. There is a TV in the living room. Their couch was comfy. In the kitchen, they provided free distilled water. There is also free use of the microwave and the refrigerator. They also had utensils that you can use. You can cook with payment of a minimal fee. Overall, it was a satisfactory stay at an affordable price.

Reviewed By mandy0011They're still on soft opening so I'll be nice. Nice hotel, quiet surroundings, spacious rooms, friendly staff, complete bathroom amenities. Food at their restaurant took quite a while to be served - I hope this improves over time. No one helped us with our bags or led us to our room - we were just given directions on where to go. Majority of the cable channels weren't accessible - probably just 2 out of 10. We had more working channels at another much lesser-priced hotel. I would stay again another time, though. Just to see if they improved. :)

When in Basco on picturesque Batan Island
Reviewed By burgosrp2003I got an airconditioned room with a king size bed on the third floor with its own ref, TV and hot and cold showers. For me this was luxurious accommodation given the options available in this far-flung island. Outside my room, there was a balcony from where one could see the lighthouse. The place was very clean and the staff displayed the warm, helpful, almost shy demeanor of most islanders here. I particularly enjoyed the small garden adjacent to the inn as it provided a cool and cozy nook to cocoon myself in, between excursions around the island and beyond.
