The hotel contains a restaurant, a hotel bar, sauna zone, massage and fitness facilities, an outdoor and heated swimming pool with sunbeds. Thanks to the exceptionally mild climate on Lošinj, the environment is ideal for an active holiday – bike riding, long walks by the sea or climbing Mountain Osoršćica, diving. Simple thing like orange juice missing. They have a small machine dispensing orange flavored water. Waiter brought freshly squeezed afterbeing asked. TV not programmed for local channels. Reception rectified after complaint. For the positives...very correct and friendly receptionists and young waiter. Dinner was very good...congrats to cook for taste and presentation. Since hotel was far from full, i question the performanceq durung peak season. Our comnents are ment to be constructive. Place has great potential...management should take refresher course.

5 star hotel with a few shortcomings
Reviewed By VastgoeddomineeThe Hilton Costabella Resort is a new hotel which was build in 2021. We stayed here in June for holidays. This hotel has a few upsides but also shortcomings. Shortcomings The design of the rooms and corridors is not so good. The space between between the bathroom en cabinet for clothes is small. When you open the door of the cabinet, it will block the passage when you step out of the bathroom. The wall tiles in the bathroom do not continue up to the ceiling. There is a gap of plaster between the wall tiles and the ceiling. This looks like they have had to economize during the construction, and this does not give the luxury look and feel you expect at a 5-star hotel. The corridors have hard tiles on the floors which means the acoustic in the corridors is bad. In the room you will hear the noise from the carts and trolleys running through the corridors. The large glass windows in the corridors make the acoustics even worse. It would have been better if the owner of the hotel had chosen a softer material for the floors. The design from the outside looks like a gallery where shower screens have been placed to divide the balconies of the rooms. This looks basic and cheap for a 5-star hotel. The main restaurant is good and offers a la cart menu. But on Friday and Saturday this restaurant only offers a buffet menu which is a disappointment. The choice of the buffet is limited compared to the a la cart menu. And for this limited buffet you will pay around 50 Euro per person which makes it a very expensive buffet. It is better not to eat in the main restaurant on Friday and Saturday, but to choose another restaurant. There is the option to have a meal or breakfast at the executive lounge situated directly next to the main restaurant. But do not expect to have peace and relaxation here since also families with babies and toddlers are allowed inside the executive lounge. It would have been better to make this an adult only zone like most luxury hotel brands do. There are a few villas which have more space if needed. But these villas are located next to the main restaurant or swimming pool. This means you will not have any privacy on the balcony or terrace, since people from the restaurant can look straight down at you. And of course there is lots of traffic and noise from the swimming pool and people walking back and forth. So basically these villas are not worthwhile staying at if you are looking privacy and peace. Upsides The location of the hotel is very nice. All rooms are facing the sea. And also the sea and coastline can be seen from the swimming pool and restaurant. Also the beach and swimming pool are facing the West which means lots of sun during the afternoon and evening. If you like lots of sunshine this hotel is perfect for you. There are many bars and a couple of restaurants to choose from. All of them offer good food and drinks. Breakfast is in the main restaurant and consists out of an extensive buffet with many options to choose from. Most food is brought in locally which means all ingredients are fresh and tasty. The Croatian kitchen is very divers and good. If you like fish and meat, this is the perfect place for you to have dinner. And many dishes are topped off with truffles which the region is famous for. The best restaurant is located on top of the hotel which is the Nebo restaurant. They offer a 7 or 11 course meal and you need to make reservations and make sure you have lots of time to enjoy your meal. Nebo restaurant has a michelin star rating, so expect a culinary journey though the local cuisine of Croatia. Highly recommendable. Only downside is that the Azure lounge is located next to the Nebo restaurant and people will be walking back and forth through the restaurant in order to get the lounge. Luckily when we were here it was not very busy, but we can imagine more traffic during high season. Also worthwhile is the spa with indoor facilities including a sauna, steam rooms and indoor swimming pool. These facilities are spacious and are a good alternative if it is a cloudy or rainy day. There is also a beauty and hair salon in case you are still unsure of your looks. Hotel staff is friendly and motivated. Croatia is an European country but still relatively poor and highly dependable on tourism just like Greece or Spain for example. Most local people are employed in the tourism industry. So, giving tips to housekeeping for example is appreciated. Rooms, restaurants and facilities are clean and well maintained. So in conclusion this hotel is a good option if you to need to visit Croatia and are able to spend lots of money. Keep in mind that this hotel is relative expensive for what it offers. Also a good hotel for holidays, but not longer than one week. Most activities and highlights in Croatia can be found in other regions and you need to also stay in the region of Split for example to see more of Croatia. The Hilton Costabella is officially a 5 star hotel, but within the 5 star hotel brands there is a upper (for example St Regis, Ritz-Carlton etc.) and a lower luxury segment. Despite the relative expensive rooms and meals, this Hilton is categorized within the lower luxury segment.

However, this year was special due to the fact that Kids club was amazing! Teacher Lina brought so many new activities, new experiences and great fun! Kids were thrilled to go to a Club more than to the beach, it was so nice to have place for fun during the peak of the sun. Hope to see teachers Lina and Tea teat again next year!

A great stay
Reviewed By MarcopeskWe stayed here for four days during a competition held in Rijeka. The hotel looks like brand new, with elegant furniture and a modern style. The rooms are very spacious, with large and comfortable beds, big bathroom ( with a bathtub but without bidet) and they all have a beautiful sea view from the balcony. Of course the best view is from the rooms on 4th and 3rd floor but even on the 1st you can enjoy a very good one. The buffet is another top points of the hotel, in the restaurant room you have a large variety of food, from pasta to fish, and even rice, meat and vegetables. During breakfast you can even enjoy pancakes and eggs just made and you can eat on the terrace looking at the sea. During our stay it wasn't full summer season so the private beach wasn't fully equipped, but the sea looked very bright and the pool was incredible too, because you could enjoy it by sitting in water or by swimming in the deeper part. The staff was always kind, present and at our disposal, the spaces were clean and well kept so our stay was great. Maybe it's a little bit out of the city center of Opatija, especially if you wanted to reach it on foot, but there's a bus stop in front of the hotel. Extras seem a little expensive but all beverage (wine, beer, coke, etc.) in the buffet are included in the fee.

After an upgrade we got a great seaview room on the 5th floor of the new section, having a nice balcony.. The buffet dinner was of good quality, but the noice level was worse than an open factory hall mess. The hotel should cover the ceiling with acoustic material (cloudshapes) and replace all the brouwn wall laners with sound absorbing material (Corc?) Als the chair bach can be coverend with colourfull sound absorbong material as well as the in-between schreens. To avoid dining in this noisy plcae we went for dinner into the small town annexe, but there the food was far more expensive.

Reviewed By alexandratK1950UOWorst Experience ever, doesn’t cost any money. Rude reception, the beach was closed while everywhere was written and posred pictures of sun lounges and beach facilities. (Btw the Weather was great +23 and 22• water) for 20 euros for pet we got pet bed which was smelling and Had holes from cigarets. All in all rooms were terribly old and bad maintained worse than a hostel. Instead of bed you sleep on 2 folding beds (COTS!!) Plus room operates on a key. You get 1 key per per room but you also need a key for pool. So you either go everywhere together or don’t go anywhere.
