Reviewed By Ray CI wasn't treated as a Gold Member should be, and as I have been treated in the past. This visit, the receptionist didn't thank me for being a Gold Member, didn't offer the water that I usually received, and requesting the room to be cleaned is non-existent anymore. I asked to have the room cleaned and all that was done was a few towels, wash clothes, and hand towels were left on the bathroom counter. All of the used towels were left on the floor in my room and the bed wasn't made. This is not what I'm used to with my past stays at a Hilton establishment. I will refuse to stay at the Hampton Inn & Suites in Pharr, TX on my next visit/stay. I know that they will probably state that it was due to COVID....

Reviewed By hotelstay2022I was given a call day of my arrival and was asked if there is anything else I could use. I went ahead an asked for 2 extra pillow cases and an extra blanket. When I arrived, the items were not in my room. I went ahead downstairs, explained and staff were accommodating. I always inspect the room before settling in bc I've had other negative experiences. As I am inspecting the bed, I noticed hair in between my pillows. Which began my worry that the room was not thoroughly cleaned. I removed all pillows but one and placed the extra pilllow cases. I ended up sleep on top of all the fitted sheets, slept with the extra blanket. I noticed that the lamps were dusty which added to my concerns. The air conditioner vents looked liked they'd not been clean. Looked moldy and had air freshener sticks placed in the vents... Found hair on the bathroom counter. Overall I was not confident that the staff clean as thorough as the hotel promises. There are some guests that are not as worried but there are guests that are a little more precautious. Hoping the hotel can understand that affects of cleanliness does not only stop at the but ripples into the guests lives after the hotel. I personally try to stay as sanitized as possible bc I have family members at home that can easily obtain infections. Door fixtures were also rusty and worn down. The curtains were also worn down as you could see wear and tear especially during the day. You could see pockets of light coming through the worn down sections of the curtains. Giving the rooms a run down sort of feel. The door did not close tightly. i could lock the door but you can easily jiggle the door back and forth. I placed a chair in front of it but still did not feel as relaxed as I could have. These experiences did not lead to a restful 2 day stay. Staff were nice but I would highly recommend improvement in cleanliness and updating room items.

Reviewed By Katherine BI stayed twice last month for my work weeks, and I found the property to be clean, safe, and easy to access. I did notice differences in the two rooms (upstairs room had couch, better water pressure in the shower, downstairs room did not) but overall the beds were comfortable, rooms were fairly quiet (depending on neighboring rooms), and the internet was strong. Housekeeping was great. No breakfast was provided (Covid times) and I didn't use the pool, but I would definitely stay here again.

Disgusting Place

We had pre-paid for our room for a week stay by a 3rd party (Priceline),a total of $700 when we arrived the front desk person yelled at my partner to step behind the red line. He could have asked him politely. He was a complete jerk. We had reserved a suite. Once we got into our room we noticed the A/C was not working the bulbs in the room were not working and they didn't even have shades on them. They changed our room after the desk clerk made it seem like he didn't have any other rooms . Before he changed the room he asked if he could come into our room to see for himself if the A/C was not working as if we were not being truthful. In the morning when I went to take a shower there was black hair wads in the tub as if someone shaved and left hair everywhere. We didn't even shower and checked out disgusted. I tried to let the lady at the front desk know and she could care less to hear my complaint and without even looking up rudely said just contact your 3rd party to get your money back. I contacted the Comfort Inn customer service desk last week and they took the report and gave me a reference number #9947851 and told me he would be to talking to the manager at the hotel and that I also needed to contact the 3rd party where I purchased the room to get my $90 back. I contacted customer service again today and was informed the manager has refused to refund me to $90 for the stay and would provide me a voucher for another stay. Does she seriously think I would ever stay at that place again. I want my money back, this was not even right. Comfort Inn customer service has informed me they will talk to the owners and let me know about my refund. With the Corona Virus really spreading in this area of Texas you would think they would be extra clean. This hotel is not clean at all inside or outside. It is flat out disgusting!!

She got a weekly rate since I was there on business, I asked what would it be if I needed to stay 2 more days and confirmed with manager the price would be $5.00 more a day than the “weekly day rate” I was in agreement with that. So I proceeded with reservation and she took my card and charged to hold room, I was fine with that. As my week was coming to an end I decided to stay the 2 more nights. So before I had to check out I called front desk to tell them I’m staying the 2 more days, in my mind since I had spoke with Alexa who confirmed with manager it would be 49.99 per night I was looking at $110 including taxes for both days. But the front desk girl said that manager raised the rate to $98.99 per day. I was like I was told it would be $49.99 per day. So I decided to walk down to front desk and tell front desk girl that I wanted them to honor their price of $49.99 that’s why I chose this location, cause they had the best rates and it was confirmed with the manager. Well the girl at front desk kept on saying that the manager had raised the rates. After what seemed about 15 minutes the front girl asked if I had a commercial drivers license, I told her yes and showed her. She then gave me the price of $49.99 per day. So the day of my check out went to front desk to return room card Alexa was there to closed out my stay, I told her about what happened a couple days ago when I stayed the 2 more days. Alexa was kind shocked of what happened I told her I just wanted them to honor what they said when I made the reservation. She apologized for that, I said it wasn’t her fault. I was in agreement with weekly rate and the $49.99 per day for the 2 days I stayed over. I would have given ( 5 stars on everything that is rate on this TripAdvisor) but since that problem came about it just didn’t seem right, also I had to show that I had a commercial drivers license in order to get that rate...what if I didn’t have a commercial drivers license I would had to pay $98.99 per day for 2 days

Friendly, compassionate and reasonable staff

I got to know some of the staff by name and was super impressed with their willingness to accommodate myself and others staying there for work. I insisted on cleaning my own rooms due to COVID-related concerns, and the staff graciously let me borrow whatever I wanted to do so. Anything I needed, the front desk was there to help me....and operating off of limited staff, no doubt. My room was clean upon arrival, huge, and updated. Blanca, Betty, and Anthony were particularly helpful and friendly towards me and others that I witnessed. If I am ever back in the valley for any reason, I will certainly choose this location over any other to stay at. Thank you, staff, for making a tough stay better!

Disgrace to Hotels
Reviewed By 607selindasWe booked our service guys there for a week and the rooms were disgusting. They barely managed to tolerate one night and we cancelled the rest of the stay and the manager didn't even refund us the rest of the money for the rest of the nights. Rooms smelled like mildew, towels had hair like they were previously used, dead roaches on the room and bathroom. DO NOT STAY HERE! THEY ARE THIEVES!

Reviewed By Janice WWe arrived early and this is the first hotel that charged us extra to check in early even though their rooms were ready. :( We arrived to our room and the smoke alarm was chirping so husband went to let the front desk know. After an hour, we took the smoke alarm off ceiling and brought it to the gal at the front desk. By the time we got back from dinner, they've still not replaced the smoke alarm. They better HOPE that there is no fire tonight. We better hope there is no fire tonight. Other then that, the room is nice and a good size and clean.
