Ideal Situation
Reviewed By tramontana44The hotel is situated just a few minutes walk from the heart of Moulins. When we last used this hotel, it was part of the Balladins chain, but the restoration by Accor has made it a much improved hotel. Because of the Covid 19 situation, the spacing of tables for breakfast made it much safer. Choice of breakfast cereals, croissants, pan au chocolate, together with fruit drinks, hot chocolate, tea and coffee made an enjoyable breakfast. Good secure car parking is also provided.

Although I have no real complaints, the service was very good and the food in the restaurant in the evening was very good - the desert especially was of Michelin star quality. The rooms are very small but quite well equipped. My room (there were four of us travelling on motorbikes) had a nice balcony looking onto the back garden which was lovely. Air-Conditioning was good as well. Wouldn't mind staying here again, location is a little strange as the hotel is located in the middle of a mid-size town but you wouldn't know it once there. Only slightly frustrating aspect was that the breakfast had to be ordered completely (including hot and cold drinks) the night before, which is a little restrictive.

Reviewed By PaulBYorkshireYou know what you're getting with a Campanile and this is no exception. Basic box of a room with an en-suite (both very clean) with access to a bar and food. Pre-booked for about 40 euro for overnight and had no difficulty booking in although for a change the staff had very little English - pas de probleme! Evening meal was very good with excellent choice from the menu. Didn't have breakfast as wanted to get away early. Kettle and tea/coffee in the room (well done) but no plugs at all to charge phones etc - poor! Had to use one in the bathroom right above the toilet so chance of catastrophe there! Would we go again - yes, why not, you know where you are with a Campanile and they are cheap.

A good overnight stop
Reviewed By RonW361En route from Strasbourg to Monpazier, The Hotel Restaraunt Le parc afforded a great mid point stop for the evening, just off the auto route, The room was very clean and comforable and secure parking was available. The resto was closed the night we stayed so I cannot comment but it looked good.

CASABIANCA a long awaited visit
Reviewed By DatliIt’s us an easy hotel to stay in very clean , food very good however we only ad pizza , plenty of free parking , and the public car park across from the hotel is free from 1800 hrs to 0900 hrs the next day. But there is free parking at the side of the hotel and across the road a post office with unlimited free parking . The staff were great, I asked for some cheese and breakfast and wads brought a nice selection . I fully recommend this hotel

Reviewed By DMM1947Whilst the parking is a little walk away this should not deter you from staying here. Christian and Babette run a very slick and very comfortable BnB. Our room was both spacious, comfortable and with 2 easy chairs. The breakfast in the beautiful courtyard garden was delicious, and fresh. The swimming pool was well maintained. The hosts were welcoming and charming suggesting places to visit and a good restaurant "Le Bistrot de Guillaume" walking distance. Thoroughly recommend and would like to visit again.

A lovely old house
Reviewed By PhilippeJeanjeanIf you only go for sterile, standardized, modern hotels, pass you way. This is an authentic old French house, but restored/renovated with love, care and taste. The room we stayed in was lovely and clean and the bathroom met all requirements. Warning: prepare yourself for a lengthy and warm conversation with the friendly hosts during breakfast.

A wonderful surprise in Moulins
Reviewed By Liz HFrom the street view this residence shows just a doorway, but from the moment you step inside, it is full of surprises. We were warmly welcomed by our hostess, Gisele, and guided to our large bedroom, with a little balcony over the street. A delightful room. Later we discovered a huge, colourful garden behind the house, which we were able to use for our picnic dinners, surrounded by beautiful flowers and trees and the sounds of birds. Giselle's cat often joined us. Gisele's homemade breads and jams were a treat for breakfast, and the French conversations that we shared with Gisele and her husband and other guests around a large communal table, did wonders for our confidence in trying to learn French. Moulins is a working French town, which we really loved to visit and the city centre is easy walking distance from this accommodation.Highly recommended.
