Decent for the location and price

Reviewed By Jennifer G

I was travelling in Connecticut and had to book a hotel last minute. For the price ended up with The Hyatt, I have no complaints honestly, the room was clean. The bed comfortable, i cant say much because i was only there for one night. The only thing is that the elevator was broken so had to take the stairs, which for me is not a issue, but could have been for anyone else with mobility issues.. so that should always be a top priority to fix.

Quiet & Comfortable

We always like Hampton Inns, and this one is located perfectly for us, four hours along on our way to New England. It is a great stopping spot, close to the freeway and the parkway, a little bit before all the difficulties of New Haven. The room was very comfortable, and the breakfast good.

Rooms need upkeep/renovation

Reviewed By Emily W

I’m glad others seemed to have enjoyed this hotel, but my experience wasn’t as great. My issue is with the quality of the room. We were on the ground floor and when we entered the room, there was a musty odor. The carpet felt damp. When we went into the restroom, I noticed there was duct tape covering a crack in a floor tile. The toilet ran almost continuously but the front desk didn’t seem too concerned. It was one of those rooms where I felt like I needed to wear my flip flops the entire time.

Rude as the day is Long!

Reviewed By E8044ICkays

Upon check in I was immediately met with attitude, as were my colleagues. Asking to add our membership numbers was met with hostility and an absolute resolve to NOT help. After checkout I noticed an incorrect charge on my credit card statement. The hotel had charged me for services on days AFTER I was long gone and no longer even in the state. I tried calling the hotel MULTIPLE times to rectify the situation, each time being told "there was no manager on the premises that could help". If you are unfortunate enough to have to stay here PLEASE check your credit card statements, you never know what they might conveniently add and NOT refund. Stay elsewhere!!!

Good Place to Sleep/Good Price

Reviewed By Glenn F

Had a nice stay at Motel 6. For the price (lowest in the area) and looking for a place to sleep this motel checked those marks. It was reasonably clean and comfortable...the furniture and carpets were a bit worn and, when first walking in the room, there was a cannabis-like smell. Not a bad place to crash for the night.

College Graduation Trip

Reviewed By GrandTour597119

I have stayed at this location in the past, but never again. Our room was dirty and needs maintenance and updates. The toilet seat was falling off, the seat itself was dirty,, with what appeared as either dry stool, or dry blood, I cleaned it myself when we got in the room. The couch cushions are torn. The king size bed is hard as a rock, we left in pain. The "sofa bed" is a joke that is not a bed it is a flimsy pad on top of a metal frame that is not usable at all. I requested bedding for the sofa bed, the sheets had blood stains all over them, no idea if they had been washed or not. No service for 4 days, thats ridiculous. I requested clean towels, and I was told, "If we have any", what do you mean "if we have any"? I received 2 new bath towels, yet my room originally had 4. The buffet breakfast also a joke. Pre-made pre-packaged food is not a buffet, fresh fruit options, apples, oranges, bananas. You are still using COVID as an excuse for poor food, poor customer service, poor maintenance of your facility, and a lack of overall cleanliness. At $300 plus a night you need to do better. We stayed at 2 other hotels on our 10 day trip, both had full buffet, daily room cleanings, fresh linens, and full service cleaning if requested. So what is your excuse? On a positive note they allowed me to check in 2 hours early.

Bathroom Nightmare

Reviewed By Alfred C

Main room was recently updated and bed was comfortable. The bathroom on the other hand was horrendous. Mold & Mildew throughout. Toilet seat was broken. I did notify hotel staff and was told nothing could be done because they were totally booked. In fairness, my friends were very pleased with their room. I would give it one more chance in the near future.

My friend and I were looking for a place to stay for the night at the last minute. We’ve been here before, and are from the area so we knew the rooms were a little rough. However, they let us pay cash (probably the only place who will) and we could smoke in the room. We got to our room and… wow. This was the worst one we’ve seen here. Not clean at all. Looked scary. The bed was made of cement lmao. The phone was broken. The TV was legit and had free movies on it! We basically stood in the middle of the room all night because the bed was scary. The table and overheard light give off that 90’s pizza place vibe. We wanted the mayflower experience but this one was extra wild. Close to pilot which is 24 hours and convenient. We only heard one dude running down the hall, no screaming or anything. Everyone is super nice though! We definitely got an experience out of it. We spent the whole night dying laughing. Most of the rooms are okay enough but this one was bad lol we’ll be back for another experience though. It’s a fun time, no one bothers you and the rooms are mostly okay.. but that one has gotta be the worst one there.
