Reviewed By David HWe booked through Secret Escapes based on both the location and the facilities. The experience fell far short of expectation. It is easiest to present this as a list. Parking: Good Check in: efficient. This team spoke good English and provided a warm welcome - but there is no bell service. Rooms: Spacious and well furnished but with the first clues that the operation is focussed on cost saving. There are no cups, except paper. No teaspoon , just wooden stirrers. For two guests there were 3 pillows and one bathrobe. All information is in French only. Of 53 TV channels none were in English. The seats on the balcony were grossly uncomfortable with no cushions In the toilet ( separate from the bathroom ) there was no extractor fan. Pool: a pleasant area with sun beds and parasols. The sun beds nearest around the pool had no mattresses so were incredibly uncomfortable. The pool bar seemed to be more of a staff meeting point than there to provide service. Towels had to be collected from / returned to front desk - why not here? If you want a drink ( or indeed for your glass to be collected ) you have to go to the bar - why no poolside service? Room service : There is none until the evening Breakfast: the buffet and the multiple dispense machines for coffee/ juice/ water/ etc is reminiscent of a Holiday Inn Express - not a 4 star hotel Dinner: Disappointing food and lousy service! The maitre d’ and his number 2 are highly skilled in avoidance of work & diners. The real failure is the French star system which accords more importance to the size of a room than any consideration of quality & service. In truth this hotel deserves no better than 2 star!

Potential for a great visit
Reviewed By Sightseer32795845352With a few tweeks, this would be an amazing location. Our unit was not cleaned when we arrived. The we found dried pasta under the kitchen table. The toilet was not thoroughly cleaned. Our child got a skin rash all over from taking a bath. The unit smelled like toilet sewage. The on-site restaurant, Cafe Des Arts, did not take walk-ins. The Italian restaurant did and the staff there were friendly. The views were nice. The pool was closed, even though we were told it would be open. This was during the fall school break.

You take the breakfast in the typickly garden with many flowers and beautiful table only for you. The painter give you many informations for visits the Provence make disign the plans. You visit the ATELIER - GALERIE in the garden and the painter explain his technic at the oil painting with knife. Hollydays originals in the house of the painter in Provence.

Armelle is interested and interesting, knowledgeable about her area and all recommendations for things to do and see AND places to eat were “spot on”. Be sure to visit her studio/gallery.

Worrying!!
Reviewed By Janus60I didn't see my review and the holder send me the answer (lieng). I wrote to black people to open eyes. Because when I came back from Avignon at midnight my room was busy so had to look for an olther Hotel.

Reviewed By brunotraveller94A la fois intime et intimiste, les Tournesols seront une excellente base de départ pour partir à la découverte du Luberon ! Vous serez accueillis par Monique et Dominique qui seront aux petits soins pour le bon déroulement de votre séjour ! En plus vous serez accompagné de bon matin sous la tonnelle pour votre petit déjeuner par Miminette ! Excellentes prestations avec notamment un appartement avec vue imprenable sur les Alpilles ! A retenir absolument !

Pas à la hauteur des attentes
Reviewed By Michael C- Accueil détestable de la responsable - mauvaise organisation, information pas fiable, attitude désobligeante. Par exemple en arrivant la responsable ne voulait pas nous prévenir par sms de la disponibilité de la maison, alors que celle-ci était prête. La responsable nous a fait attendre plusieurs heures avant de nous donner les clés. - Maison petite et vieillissante, pas de wifi, pas de fer à repasser mais table à repasser! Nous avons été obligés d'acheter un fer à repasser car refusé de nous en prêter. - Câble de la machine à laver dans la salle d'eau non conforme. - Kit de ménage payant non fourni. - Très beau golf et activités pour les petits enfants
