Reviewed By Pete SBooked this place at very short notice as the location was important- what an excellent place to stay. Friendly and welcoming hosts. English and Spanish speaking so between my French/ Spanish and English of course- we managed very well. Room and facilities were good although the bed could have been firmer for me. Also I wish I had asked for the en-suite room but as booked on my mobile I missed that. Breakfast was a good continental but the evening meal was superb. Lots of friendly conversation, wine included and free wi-fi. A place to return to when passing.

Smart Hotel&Restaurant. We are an establishment more than a hundred years old, still managed by the same family. Located in the town center of Lodève, our hotel is a large building from the 17th century.

Reviewed By K1160ORdaniellebOvernight stop - hotel was conveniently located and parked right outside. Lovely family run place couldnt do enough for you. Very lad to see British tourists. Ate at the restaurant, food was very good. Great nights sleep for next day of driving

Reviewed By anthony sFor a one night stop this privately owned hotel offers, clean but basic accommodation and our room had a large bathroom with power shower. Views across the French countryside added to the charm and the breakfast, although limited was adequate for our needs. The fresh orange juice was a bonus and we took cakes for our coffee on the journey north. Although no dinner is available, the owner pointed us to a selection in the town and we were well satisfied with our choice. I would suggest some updating of the rooms might be in order but may well detract from its quaintness. Free car parking 30 metres away kept us on budget as we headed to Chartres via the Millau bridge.

Incredibly Welcoming Proprietors
Reviewed By Steve PI cannot say enough nice things about this hotel and its owners. We were arriving well past midnight and the hotel graciously had someone wait up to show us to our room. Because we arrived so late, we slept late and missed the normal breakfast hours, and were assuming we would not eat breakfast at the hotel, but discovered to our pleasant surprise that they had nonetheless laid out a quite expensive spread in the late morning just for us. The room was very spacious, clean and nice. It was a good stop en route to Montpellier; the only negative is that it's a bit out of the way (great views, however) so make sure your GPS is working to get you there, particularly at night.

Ok for a short stay.
Reviewed By annettesinclairrockeWelcome was very good and informative. The shower wasn't good as it had to be held by hand whilst using as there wasn't anywhere to secure it ( attachment was broken). No Toiletries were provided. The choices for breakfast were very limited, bread/ orange juice/ honey/ tea and coffee. I was very surprised on " check out" that we were not asked if we enjoyed our stay / if all was ok etc!!!!! The invoice was dealt with and "goodbye".
