I'm looking at some of the better reviews for this time period and the ones that gave good reviews must have been made up. I was there and I never met anyone friendly who worked there. The room we had was dated and smelled of mildew. The outdoor porch in front of the rooms was in disrepair with no lighting which made it a hazard to walk at night. The landscaping was all overgrown and looked terrible. The entire place is in complete disrepair and needs complete remodeling. Maybe even new ownership.

Above and beyond

We stayed here in May 2022, this was a first time visit. I had planned a birthday getaway for my girlfriend. The morning of our arrival date I got a call from Lisa asking if it was ok to upgrade our stay from the hilltop to the poolhouse at no charge. The upgrade was more than we could have hoped for. I also ordered flowers and chocolate covered strawberries to be there upon arrival and they did not disappoint. The location was perfect to be able to get out and explore Camden, as well as Rockland. The breakfast was delicious and cooked to order. The staff was friendly and accommodating. My girlfriend and I both felt this was a 10 out of 10 experience and we look forward to visiting again.

This is an EXCEPTIONAL place! Fresh, bright, amazing views, comfy beds

I LOVED this place! The reservations and check in was super easy. The grounds are meticulous and then we made our way down to the cottage by the waterfront (#28). WOW. Everything I imagined....only way better. The views are spectacular, bed and cottage was clean and welcoming and cozy. The bed is very comfortable and the unit is equipped with a small frig and coffee. We loved hanging out on the front deck watching the water. I awoke early to catch the INCREDIBLE sunrise (worth it!). Breakfast was fantastic - fresh blueberry scone, yogurt, an individual quiche, fruit, coffee and juice. Great value, great place, Great people. They also have wine available for purchase (very reasonable) should you want to have a nice glass for your evening on the deck.

Lincolnville Motel

Newly open!!!! Celebrating summer's simple pleasures, the Lincolnville Motel is a getaway destination in a beautiful part of Midcoast Maine. A refreshed 1950s roadside motor inn, the motel offers six wooden guest cabins and four spacious motel rooms, all with views of the ocean and open fields. Rooms and cabins are minimally appointed, with an emphasis on quality bedding, clean design, and a little bit of fun.

Alice (the owner) values simplicity.

Primitive cabin with small rustic bathroom located in a natural setting. Cabins have refrigerators, no TV’s and limited WiFi. You may not be able to connect to the internet, but your mobile devices will be charged and ready to go with the 6 usb outlets provided on the nightstands. Alice genuinely cares about her property and your satisfaction. In the morning, we walked up to the office for complimentary coffee. The charming town of Camden is less than a 5 mile drive where we had a delicious breakfast at the Mariner’s Restaurant served by the owner of 40 years! The Lincolnville Motel is simple and basic, with galvanized pipe curtain rods and a white towel doormat … this may be the organic experience you’re looking for.

Delightful stay.

We stayed two nights on our way round New England. The accommodation was very spacious and clean with very comfy chairs in our room. The bathroom was minute with definitely only room for one! A big contrast with the room!! The breakfast was plentiful and it was possible to take it back to our room on pretty trays. We enjoyed it! This was the friendliest place ever and the owner was very chatty and helpful. It is obvious she likes people! While we were there, she was hosting a supper for her neighbours in the business & when I remarked on it, the next morning, she said we could have joined them! If only we’d known! It was quiet and peaceful with pretty gardens. Although just off the road, we were not troubled by traffic. Also a good location for the State Park & Camden nearby and restaurants in Lincolnville a couple of miles away. I would recommend it as a clean, economical place to stay!
