Nice hotel, convenient location, great food & wine
Reviewed By Gary CMy wife & I spent 4 nights in Hotel Adler while doing genealogy research. The Adler is east to find, in a convenient location and very accommodating. The food in the restaurant was excellent. They have an amazing selection of fine wines. The rooms were more than adequate & clean. We enjoyed our stay. The owner was helpful in suggesting things to do.

Our restaurant in the Gasthof zum Goldenen Löwen ist only minutes away on foot and offers you and excellent kitchen with 15 points Gault Millau. After an enjoyable dinner you will spend a quiet night in our newly renovated, individually appointed rooms. Each room offers a private bath, TV and free WiFi as well as a small coffee machine.

Reviewed By RugbyBobby123I stayed at the hotel Emmental for 4 nights whilst on a business trip. Arriving by train it’s a 2 minute walk from the station. Check in was simple (keys and a note left on the reception desk), and I was pleased with my room, nice and spacious, clean, nice bathroom, nothing to complain about. I did suspect that the beds would be uncomfortable but they weren’t and I slept well. My room was right above reception and almost over the bar area but I wasn’t disturbed at all, very quiet. Nice typical breakfast every day and a decent little bar to grab a beer in the evening. Would certainly stay again, thank you.

Reviewed By magnarmoGood traditional swiss food in an idyllic place. Good service. Everything is clean and in pristine order. My wife had a local sausage with røsti and i enjoyed a vesl schnitzel cordon bleu also with røsti.

The Emme Lodge is an former Emmentaler farmhouse, which was built in 1768. It has been changed into a cosy Hostel and offers, with the special charme, to travellers an warm and homely place to stay. The house offers 42 beds, beside showers and toilets on every stock, a kitchen for selfcooking, an Play and restroom and a nice outside relax possibility. If demanded after pre-reservation we offer you a breakfast buffet. No annimals are allowed inside the Lodge

Reviewed By Dominik GI've stayed in this hostel several times now for the annual jazz festival and workshop in Langnau. There's always a warm welcome. The family running the lodge are very concerned about you feeling good there. Situated in an old bernese farm house but modernized some years ago, it's a nice place to stay. There's also a garden with a well and a ping-pong table. The rooms are clean but due to the old house they aren't very high, so watch your head. There's no bathroom in the rooms but there are two, one on each floor, also very clean. I don't know if there's the possibility to lock your stuff somewhere (wasn't necessary during my stays, all the musicians/other people mosty knew each other). There's a living room and a separate dining room for self-caterers. The kitchen is big and has everything you need. Breakfast is awesome, with different kinds of bread, cereals, fruits, yoghurt, coffee, orange juice etc. The Emme Lodge is a great place if you are going for a hike, for mountain biking or just for chillin'.

Reviewed By Lukas_E84Wir waren zu Sechst für eine Nacht im Purple House. Wir hatten ein 4er Zimmer und ein Doppelzimmer. Sehr sauber, gross und gemütlich. Dazu ein Badezimmer mit Dusche. Der Name Purple House ist Programm! Violet dominiert im Haus, das ist wohl die bevorzugte Farbe der sehr freundlichen Gastgeberin Christina. Das Frühstück wird In der oberen Etage ihres Hauses eingenommen. Viele regionale Produkte, teils aus ihrem eigenem Garten. Uns hats geschmeckt!

Gastheer zeer vriendelijk en gastvrij en heeft waardevolle tips over bezienswaardigheden, de ruime studio ziet er prima uit, volledig ingericht, inclusief internet en tv, keurige badkamer en een overheerlijk ontbijt, als het warm weer is kun je die genieten op een overdekt terras met een prachtig uitzicht ! Absoluut de moeite waard om te boeken ! En sinds kort ook nog een 1-persoonskamer + badkamer die er fantastisch uit ziet !

Wer jedoch gut essen möchte und gerne Wein dazu trinkt, wird enttäuscht. Es hat eine einfache Menuekarte, wogegen nichts spricht, aber die Küchenmannschaft macht es sich einfach. Etwas mehr Liebe, Kreativität und Qualität bitte. So geht das gar nicht! Und ordentliche Weinauswahl wäre das mindeste. Wir sind hier nicht in einer Berghütte, sondern in einem Hotel. Jedoch darf man löblich erwähnen, dass der Besitzer auf Details achtet. Herzige Blümchen auf dem Tisch. Überall schöne Accessoires.

Nicht empfehlenswert
Reviewed By Carl LUralte, schäbige Möbel. In unserem Zimmer hat es sowas von modrig gerochen, dass ich kurz davor war, im Auto zu schlafen. Das Badezimmer war ebenfalls in einem bemittleidenswerten Zustand. Das Frühstück eine schlichte Katastrophe. Nicht empfehlenswert. Außerdem viel zu teuer. Aber selbst für die Hälfte des Preises würde ich dort nicht nochmal übernachten. Da schlafe ich lieber draussen unter freiem Himmel.
