On top of the world in a top place to stay
Reviewed By Chris HWe spent a couple of days exploring the Livradois-Forez park in France and stayed at the Hotel de l'Echo in La Chaise Dieu. We were really surprised by this beautiful small hilltop town with its magnificent Abbey and far reaching views and by the comfort and level of service at this family run hotel. We had a lovely room with a big bathroom en suite. The hotel was quiet and in the morning with the bedroom window open the only sound was birdsong. We had a delicious dinner in the hotel restaurant - and chose home cooked specialties of the region at very reasonable prices. The continental breakfast was generous. We had a lovely stay and hope to come back again - perhaps in July or August when the tourist trains are running through the park. Top-tip - La Chaise Dieu is at an elevation of 1000m - so pack an extra layer, then you will be comfortable and feeling on top of the world!

Une halte reposante
Reviewed By Champagne51100Chaleureux accueil de Bernadette dans sa magnifique maison, à deux pieds d l’abbatiale. Un dîner parfait pour les randonneurs que nous sommes et un petit déjeuner qui nous a permis de sauter de collines en collines pour la suite de notre randonnée.

Deve migliorare
Reviewed By GiorgioMuleVillaggio immerso nel verde a due chilometri dalla deliziosa cittadina di La Chaise Dieu. La struttura costituita da oltre 80 mini alloggi necessita di manutenzione e c'è scarsa attenzione per il cliente. Deve migliorare parecchio.

Accueil chaleureux, beau site reposant
Reviewed By StressmanjcbA 2 pas de l'abbaye (une merveille), La chaise dieu connue pour son festival de musique classique, a des chambres d'hotes qui meritent le detour. La jacquerolle en fait partie. La patronne est jovial et sympa et fait elle même la cuisine du terroir. L'ambiance est chaleureuse et l'on mange a côté d'une grande cheminée à foyer ouvert, facon chateau. Tout est super même le prix très abordable.
