Reviewed By Mulder71The hotel needs to be renewed. Personnel of the reception inadequate. Drivers of the shuttle not polite. Room clean (but it is the minimal requirement). No shampoo and soap in the room (I asked two times). Restaurant seems to be dirty with some flies. There are more hotels close to the airport that provide a better service and structure.

Reviewed By Sharon DThe hotel charged me $150 deposit each for 2 one night stays. The deposits were supposed to be refundable but they charged my credit card $300 anyway. My reservations were full paid for in advance of my stay. I am dealing with the hotel to get my money back so we will see. The restaurant is now only open for breakfast. The airport shuttle stops running at 1PM making the last run at 12:30PM and does not resume until later in the day. The hotel could use some updating and I have been a loyal customer of this Radisson for years but not anymore.

We're five minutes from JFK International Airport, with a free shuttle between our hotel and Federal Circle. The Jamaica Arts Center and the Resorts World Casino are three miles away and the Airtrain station is two miles from the hotel and connects with trains to Manhattan. Reviewed By KumardocEverything was perfect. We were allowed an early check in after a red eye flight and that made our day! Breakfast was finished when we arrived but the hostess arranged something for us. Rooms were clean and it was a smooth stay

Staff make this hotel great

Before I even came I received an extremely beneficial email with key info to make my stay even more pleasant including how to get to the hotel shuttle, there is no food onsite etc. Typically I have to go digging for this information. The location of this hotel is very sketchy and the building itself made me think what did I book but that being said- the staff made it great. The shuttle came even quicker then they said and the driver was soo nice. In addition the staff who greeted me at the front desk was helpful and quick. The room (aka the housekeeping) was AMAZING especially understanding they probably have to clean each room everyday being an airport hotel. Usually they are not this clean and when choosing a hotel I just want clean and quiet. They put me in a room by the elevator which made me worried however they had an ac unit you can continue to run on a fan (I’m a light sleeper so the stop start drives me nuts) and so this was great and I didn’t hear anyone all night. When I checked out it was before the breakfast opened at 5 am but the front desk guy offered me the coffee since he said she was just preparing it for the day. Shuttle to the airport was on time and the driver was also great. Management and staff are making this hotel great. The detractors were that it looks terrible from the outside, there is no food (or beer or wine) on-site and the options were a Chinese place who takes only cash and Burger King or Uber eats, the lobby smells like smoke (a lot of Europeans were on my shuttle and people were smoking outside so proajbly drifting in?), and you have stairs in the lobby to get you to the main elevators which is kind of annoying. But overall highly recommend!

Reviewed By delldiamond3Mixed reviews are true on this one. It is mostly clean. Bring your flip flops because the room carpet is very old. Weed smells are very strong in the hallways. Rooms are fairly small but it is new york and it is priced very reasonably. If you are going to do public transportation, the walk to the bus stop is not very far and it felt safe in the daytime. Breakfast is simply coffee. All in all not a bad stay. I will say that I actually grew up a few blocks up the road so that may be considered a bias. I am normally a hilton customer so that is a bias as well.

Noisy, smelly and lack of transport
Reviewed By dora2585We have chosen this hotel, as we had an early fligt from JFK and the offered option of a transfer shuttle gave us the security, that we would not have any issues to get to the airport on time, but we were left high and dry. Following points made us to rate this hotel as terrible: 1) Noise and smell The hotel is located near a highway and a garbage truck yard. Our room was located in this direction and the windows are way to thin, so you have all time the noise from the highway and the garbage trucks. As we requested another room, we were given one which was even worse located, so we almost did not sleep. The truck also provide a certain smell, so it was hard to breath. 2) Missing transport According to the homepage and description an airport shuttle is included, which made us to chose this hotel. The first one runs on 5AM and we were in the lobby on time but we were left high and dry, as the bus was already full and with the next option, we were not sure to get our flight, so we had to take an uber. Also the personnel was very unhelpful and unfriendly. The area around the hotel is also very dissappointing, no shops, restraurants or anything else. No access to public transport. Only good thing was that the room was clean.

Reviewed By qb1451My BFF and I arrived at this hotel and knew this was not the place to be but we found parking anyway on the dirtiest garbage-ridden street ever. My friend took pictures so her boyfriend would believe her. We are from Long Island but are in the city frequently and we were like you cannot be serious!. We ventured past some looking shady-looking characters and went inside only to have the girl behind the front desk look dead in our faces and kept doing whatever. Finally, after 5 minutes when her highness gets up from the seat she tells us it was not time to check-in. Thank you!!! we left and never returned. Still working on getting a refund. We are not snobs by any stretch but come on guys you must do better
