Wary Traveler

I almost never fill out reviews like this, but the hotel experience here was wonderful. My luggage got delayed and last minute I had to change accommodations. I am very glad I picked Wingate. Check in was smooth, the room was very nice, and the best part was the price. During my hiking travels, this was by far the nicest hotel I stay in and was also the cheapest. It is everything I could have aske for. The breakfast was modest, however I would have the breakfast everyday as it is worth it to stay at this property.

Friendly Staff

Reviewed By Gina00000

We appreciate the friendliness and welcome of Kay & Ney! They were so customer oriented and always has a smile on their faces. We appreciated that very much! I have to say though, the room and especially the bathroom was not as clean as we would have liked. Had to use about 10 sanitary wipes in the bathroom including behind toilet seat. The toilet seat was funky. It was extremely uncomfortable as it was high in the front. The toilet seat was round on an oval bowl. The rest of the room we used quite a few sanitary cloths to clean the surfaces. The bed was comfortable, it was quiet and we had a good experience. The breakfast was like fast food, not as impressive. All in all it was a good place to rest our heads.

Tired and No Attention to Details

I can't believe all the positive reviews for what is essentially a dated 1990s motel with stucco walls and cottage cheese ceilings. In my unit the alarm clock wasn't plugged in, the clock on the microwave wasn't adjusted for Daylight Savings and one of the end tables had some kind of goop housekeeping just let cake in.

Old and Rundown

Reviewed By rgripp635458

The hotel is old, 1950’s style and rundown. There is no elevator, which was NOT mentioned when booking. The bathroom was hard to fit an average sized person in and the door must be closed to use toilet. The AC worked well, although it was very loud. The maid did not make our bed, which we were not concerned about, although our used towels were removed and not replaced. The breakfast was poor to say the least. The orange juice machine was out-of-order for our entire stay and no one was attending to the area, as the waffle griddle was burning and no proper utensils to clean out the burnt batter. The pool and hot tub looked ok.

overpriced and filthy

Reviewed By rworle346918

The room smelled of strong perfume trying to cover the smell of urine. The door to the room appeared to have been kicked in, at one point, and the repair was bad, with a terrible paint job. The bathroom was filthy and mold on the ceiling. The carpet is worn and dirty, no shampoo, only a bar of soap. The shower temperature was warm but not hot. Clearly a low class hotel.

Not bad for a budget motel.

Reviewed By marialaffy

Not bad for a low budget motel. We were out all day and basically just slept there. Half an hour to Zion National park. If you have higher expectations, look somewhere else. Basic breakfast which was ok. Double queen beds with sink in room which some people may not like.
